Title: HD 6870 with 11.1a STILL NEED HELP Post by: celcoid on January 11, 2012, 08:11:29 PM Can someone point me in the right direction for the best drivers/miner/tags for a HD 6870.
I have rolled back to 11.11 so I can have SDK 2.5 but now I get 265Mhash at stock clocks 900/1050 and 280Mhash at 950/300 I was getting 300Mhash+ Title: Re: HD 6870 with 11.1a HELP NEEDED Post by: P4man on January 11, 2012, 08:28:22 PM All he needs to know is what clocks it can achieve. I suggest you start messing around with vector width settings (vectors 1, 2, or 4) and work sizes (64, 128, or 256). vectors 2, worksize 128 is a very universal combination. A couple of my 6770 cards are doing great at vectors 2, worksize 256 while some other oddball mix of cards prefer vectors 2, worksize 64. Do some benchmarking and fine tuning, you'll get your performance back. Whichever settings you test, make sure to let cgminer run at least for an hour before writing down the results as conclusive. EDIT:: P4, are you a couple of miners down or did you point them away from bitminter? Some new pool being tested?
