That was a nice response by Dorian.
Although, I'd prefer to have seen the article without having to see Mark's face. It would be nice if he could just fade away without constant reminders that he ever existed.

...

Over 2,000 people donated.
Great to be reminded how many good people are using BTC.  :)

I'm a huge fan of Andreas, and I think this was a really great thing he did for Dorian. But he looks super awkward in the video and I'm not sure why he's in it at all....

That contributes to make it look so heartfelt, imo. As a user of cryptocurrencies, I'm happy to see directly how it affected a man in such a positive way.

I can see that. My bad Andreas, I should know better than to doubt you.

Deleted my post, I thought you were talking about Dorian in your previous post. Sorry.
However my statement still applies - it somewhat looks like he just gave him the coins in person and we see the reaction of someone who just received a great gift :)

Wow... almost $25,000 raised so far. This man definitely might be thanking his parents for giving him his name.  ;D

That said, I would prefer this man to be the face of Bitcoin,

than this guy:

And I'd prefer this face

But even more, I'd prefer no face at all.

Why bring Mark Karpeles into a totally unrelated topic? It just makes you look like a dick.

No, it's not funny.

And Blockchain says 49.27 BTC. we just need a little more to get 50 BTC limit. I think at most tomorrow we will see 50 BTC there.

A few years ago a single person would have donated 50 BTC, but it would have been worth so much less in USD.
Over $20,000 is great and it will help Dorian a lot.

An old post I've found on this forum, which applies quite well to your statement:
Satoshi, I figured it will take my modern core 2 duo about 20 hours of nonstop work to create ฿50.00! With older PCs it will take forever. People like to feel that they "own" something as soon as possible, is there a way to make the generation more divisible? So say, instead of making ฿50 every 20 hours, make ฿5 every 2 hours?

"Only" $50/day for a CPU....LOL.
I should spend some time looking at old posts; Lot's of buried treasures in there.

Not $50 a day. He posted that he gets about BTC50 every 20 hours or so. That is equivalent to $24,000+ at today's rates. lol.... imagine someone complaining about a job which pays him almost $9,000,000 per year.  ;D

A job whose function is "making sure the computer stays on" :P
