Title: Ruxum
Post by: impulse on January 12, 2012, 02:55:15 PM
What happened to Ruxum? Are they seeing any volume these days? Once upon a time I had high hopes for them and now it seems likely that they will just disappear one of these days. I wonder how much money and BTC are kept there right now?

Also looks like they have removed Namecoin support

Yeah, Bitcoin didn't go well for them.

The Solidcoin fiasco did not help them out any. Anyone around here still carrying a balance over there?

I have 400 namecoin.. That's it.. It still looks like they have namecoin support from my account. Maybe that's only because I have namecoin there..

I had high hopes for them too, but I must admit, whenever I want to actually trade BTC, I headed over to MTGox... I kept a balance there for a while, but I never actually felt like trading where the volume always sucked.. Campbx always felt that way too.. I haven't been there in a while either.. I hope for their sake that they're doing better than Ruxum.

Bitcoinmarket has practically zero volume these days... Last trade there was on 11/06/11.  That one makes me really sad. Wasn't that the very first exchange?  They held my Bitcoins for me that I purchased at 1.39 cents until after their peak of $30.

I feel very unfortunate still having a balance in USD there. I've been waiting for more than a week now for my withdrawal, but they keep coming up with excuses why they haven't paid out yet. It smells like SCAM....  >:(

Crappy! I see too that there's nothing for sale at reasonable prices, so you can't even buy BTC to get your value out. What an incredible disappointment they have been.

I agree. They were hot at first, now they are the Myspace of Bitcoin.

I deposited some money with them last year and bought some bitcoins when there was some arbitrage opportunity, but the volume was never that great so I withdrew everything from them and moved to another exchange.

I had some BTC in there for a bit as well, but I pulled it out because I was getting nervous about them going POOF!

I had ruxum for a while but there was NO activity.  Also, they stopped trading solidcoin so I have a measly 66 solid coin sitting over at Ruxum :p

Alright, it took them 2.5 weeks but I did get my money back from Ruxum. I did a withdraw through Paxum, and they charged me $50 + 2.5% conversion for it.
