Title: What is the best approach?
Post by: PlanKton on April 24, 2014, 01:20:45 PM
Okay, so I know I won't be able to mine BTC straight out, but I have a Sapphire Radeon 7870 XT, what would be the best approach at making the max profit possible that I can off this rig? I've done a little re-search and testing, and the specs that I have found on my personal card are: Sha-256(385MH/s) Scrypt(275KH/s) Scrypt-N(190KH/s).

Been there, done that. 7870 gives you about 400 KHs. Sell it, you may get $200, buy 2 gridseeds, you get at least 600 KHs at 10 times less electrical cost.

Profit? You make me laugh.

I've heard that gridseeds are a joke and a waste of money? Plus can't they ONLY mine scrypt coins?

Whats the more profitable way at the moment then? scrypt is the most profitable way right now and will be for a while too.

X11 algo or XPM mining with Claymore's miner. Scrypt and Scrypt-N aren't to profitable mining with GPU. In the future, get a Gridseed blade to mine Scrypt.
