Hey all

I've been into BlackCoin for around a week now, but from what I've gathered this is what I believe the prices will be in the next 6 months. Please take note that this is not a HYPE thread these are conservative predictions and the purpose of this thread is to see the outcome. Constructive criticism is welcome.

First off for those who think BlackCoin is slumping the same way Auroracoin did, here is some proof (taken from the BlackCoin thread) that the market will most likely bounce back. (This forms the basis for my further predictions)


Now onto the predictions

25 April 2014 : BC will stabilize around 33-34K (CORRECT, but one day late)

27-30 April 2014 : BC price will increase to around 42-44K (Correction of price after dump)

5-10 May 2014 : BC price will increase to around 57-60K (Initial release of BlackCoin Cards : http://blackcoincard.com/)

12-14 May 2014 : BC price will stabilize at 51-53K (Correction after price increase)

15-25 May 2014 : BC price will steadily increase to 62-63K (Anticipation of CoinKite Release)

1 June 2014 : BC price will jump to 110K (CoinKite Release)

4 June 2014 : BC price will stabilize ar 90-95K (Correction after price increase)

5 June 2014 - 1 August 2014 : BC price will steadily increase to 120K (Exposure from CoinKite + More merchants and better infrastructure)

1 Jan 2015 : 230K

I can't be too sure of the last prediction for 1 Jan 2015 as there could be many factors affecting the price up to this point, it may increase it may decrease I can't be too sure, but the rest I believe are more or less what I think the price will be.

Only time will tell if my predictions are right.  ;)

Interesting. It's at 30K now so you are pretty close coming out of the gate. Maybe it will gain a couple K by the end of the day.

Past performance doesn't necessarily indicate future performance but this a good way to document your tea leaf reading efforts.  :D

BC is up to 32K on MintPal, now. All it needs is some sustained buy pressure to push it to 35K.

Blackcoin (and it's community) has been successful so far, IMHO. Apart from the unnecessary hype pump to 90k (obviously triggered by some whale) and other market manipulations that were spoken of lately, it accomplished much in just a month, where other coins are still far from. Except for cypying some ideas.

it's just the hype, watch how the community decreases over time. Blackcoin is not promising enough

Are you talking from an innovation perspective here or a profit perspective?

Bitcoin 5 years ago did not promise 1000$ a piece. Dogecoin being launched as a joke a few months ago, did not promise one of the greates community in crypto. Blackcoin promieses nothing, yet people expect from it much. Why is that? Let it flow man, check back in 5 months and then lay out judgement.

Blackcoin is doing much more than 99% of the useless altcoins out there (whose dev's don't even stick around after launch, or just shout "vote for us on mintpal" endlessly in their launch threads and don't have any better ideas to promote their coin). The pattern for most coins is to be diluted by the flood of new alts over time (even LTC and DOGE are being affected by this). So a coin like Blackcoin that looks like it will actually gain traction and build steam over time is a real rarity.

There are a few others, like Darkcoin and maybe Fluttercoin, but Blackcoin is one of the rare coins that I expect to still be around and worth more than 1 satoshi by the end of the year. Whether it hits these targets, I don't know. But I think it could.

It's even possible that it trends towards price parity with Bitcoin, based on drunks with smartphones at the bar getting BC and BTC mixed up and making bad trades. That alone makes me bullish. ;D

It seems like BC has a stronghold at 30K.

Tomorrow (Friday) will be interesting. Someone was claiming to have 300 BTC lined up to pump Blackcoin. The devs spoke against it at the DailyBlackcoin.com, asking not to create a spike. So it may be interesting to see what happens (or not).

300BTC to pump the people into pumping Blackcoin, not Blackcoin the coin.

300Btc= 150,000 USD roughly, market volume has been averaged around 1,000,000. A simple 15% increase won't do much besides spur buy-ins and hype, don't stay in too long if this does happen.

I was wrong It never got to 20k :).

Now it seems going up again, my prediction:

Tonight we will see some buying and we will be 30k+ by tomorrow, followed by some panic buys, by Monday we will be 38k - 45k.

It's up to 31399 on Poloniex now. I think we are seeing a rebound, even without the faux pump. We'll see where it heads now, but I'm glad I held on to mine.

I have been in altcoins world long enough not to predict unforeseeable future, these kinds of prediction never accurate.

Come on just for the fun :). Else it is not fair, you can troll me but I will not be able to say I told you so :p.

If WC doesn't hit 1600 sats in 3 days, I predict BC will be at least 35K.

If WC hits 1600 sats, BC will be 20 to 25K.

Edit: I forgot to factor in BTC price, Oh well. Getting too complex.

BC is at 33K on MintPal, now. I guess my prediction was one day off ;)

Your April 27-30 prediction would require BTC hitting 500 again.

BC has broken past the initial resistance barrier of 33K. Expect some drastic medium-term growth. We are on track to reach 40K.

Full disclosure: I have a very very tiny amount of WC and a very large amount of BC so my view is not impartial :p.

Sorry to say, I know you have some quite interest in WC, but it is too late now, The time to buy was from 700 and the sell was around 1400, I was spamming in the WC thread for people to wait longer to buy in at least to 600, but the chimps didn't listen they gave up all the buy power to Wafflepool miners.

I am not saying that that coin is dead or anything like that, just that is very unlikely that it will get to over 1400 at least in the following week.

I don't see BTC hitting $500 again for a couple of weeks. We've been on a "long-term" downtrend since a peak of $1200. I think BTC may drop sub-$400 before breaking through the downtrend. Once BTC breaks through the downtrend expect a peak of around $2000-$2200 sometime in July. The reason I say this is that BTC has an uncanny price peak every 234 days EXACTLY. The next "predicted" peak is on July 24, which is why we may see a new high for BTC pretty soon.

I don't think WC has died quite yet, there's an organized pump for WC to supposedly be starting on Tuesday. WC may hit a high of around 1600K-1800K once again before dying out. Cinni on the other hand is dead for the most part unless the developer follows through on promised developments, but judging by the fact that rat4, Blackcoin's developer, was called to fix the Cinni wallet (as I assume the developer didn't have the knowledge to do so himself) don't expect any big things coming from Cinni.

No need to be sorry. We have the same financial portfolio. My average buy was 950 WC so I'm still ok. But if Whitecoin gets knocked out and BC solidifies itself as the PoS King, that is fine by me. I think 1400 is doable for WC in a week, but any higher it's going to need some help from the dev, community and must I say a little Iconic.

ah those two videos made my day, after watching that you almost don't care if a coin gets dumped or pumped.

I feel that something could have been done with the white general ( or whatever he was ) to make something fun of him being a WC holder or something.
