The index is broken in to the main default and the BNC 2.0 tab
This allows viewing heavily pre-mined coins in their correct categories by index.

All data displayed is AVAILABLE supply - not total theoretical supply.

Our Bitcoin price comes from over 50 different exchanges in over 25 different trading Fiat-pairs.
We pull all our own data and host it on AWS for scalability and speed.
Everything is backed up to a separate & secure service for redundancy.

Our API is available. Email us to request it.
You may need this if you require:
- An accurate Global Bitcoin Price for settelment purposes.
- For products and services built already or in your pipeline that require the only truly global and accurate Bitcoin price.

How It Works



Converter
The currency converter provides conversion of values between any pair of currencies, crypto or fiat.  
You can actually use it for Fiat to Fiat or Crypto to Crypto.
A widget and embeddable version for your website will become @ http://bravenewcoin.com/ticker


Filter
By default the table includes all coins surveyed in their respective index, and this may be filtered to show 7 & 30 days by volume or market cap.


Global level
The right-most column in the table shows the chart expansion icon. Selecting this, will expand the row for the selected coin to display a detailed global summary chart.



Market level
The Market page shows detailed results of the data collected from each currency exchange for any particular coin trading market e.g. BTC-USD, BTC-CNY etc

BraveNewCoin API

BraveNewCoin provides a simple json interface to provide access to its current price index information.

This is updated every 5 minutes with the latest price index for each cryptocurrency in USD. Files are available from:

Ie - for https://796.com/ we are building a specific Index that volume-weights the USD & RMB markets only for the purpose of settlement on their futures products. A nice 796.com branded ticker is being built as part of the job.

How exactly is calculated the BNC index? Its not clear at all, other than prices are taken from a lot of exchanges. The exact formula should be published somewhere, but its not, or at least I cannot find it.

We take all trading pairs and group the into markets.


Ie all CNY/BTC from all exchanges.
We then use the standard weighted average calculation to get a volume-weighted average for this pair.

Once we have that for each market, we collect the data together through the same methodology to get a global price.

Just stumbled upon this site. This is a complete rip of our open source project, from the local market prices, global prices, right down to the exchange ignore reason and bitcoincharts fallback.

Even if you did rewrite code from scratch which i doubt, you could have made an effort not to look so obvious in the features you've copied.

Sorry that I am laughing, but it is such a ripoff. bravenewcoin is in league with the reddcoin community so I would expect nothing less.

Please add P2P exchanges to your datasources.

I mean LocalBitcoins, Mycelium Marketplace, Bitsquare, etcetera.
