Post by: thankful_for_today on April 25, 2014, 05:47:00 PM
Hello!

BitMonero hashrate grown a lot today. Looks like an optimized miner.

You can still vote for BitMonero on Comkort: https://comkort.com/vote ;)

Thank you for this picture.

I just found these coins and they look very interresting, but I need more time to figure the ins and outs of this.

I really like that MinerGate-thing for BCN. Very fun to instantly get rewards, unlike BMR where I might get one every other day or so.

In the RPC server there is everything you need to start a pool really (getblocktemplate; simple-miner can connect to a server and get the template to then hash).  We are just waiting for someone to fork eloipool or something else and create an open source pool for CryptoNote coins.  The first person who does will probably be rich in reward.

Indeed, pictures can tell more.

What about a new fork HoneyPenny? I wonder will it succeed in future or not?
Now it seems to be less popular than Bitmonero

HoneyPenny isn't started yet. There are some technical problems with changes introduced in HoneyPenny that can lead to unspendable outputs: you receive money but you can never spend them because you can't find other outputs to mix them with. This can be fixed if core will not accept transactions that can't be spent.

when will they get a wallet like we are used to working with? command line stuff is not welcoming for most people.

+1

I hope they'd make it before all coins would have been mined  ;D

btw, is Monero the same? or it's another fork? a lit bit confused.

Monero is the new name for BitMonero, but they are the same fork yes.

Interesting pictures. Especially BCN hashrate.

There was a boom in BCN hashrate recently. Diff is beginning to grow very fast from now.

I wonder how diagram is gonna look like in a week?!

Nice to see BMR is catching on. Wonder why we do not mine BCN collectively?

What do you mean ''collectively''?

If you are talking about the pool there is actually one pool working well - Minergate.

Hello!

While we are discussing changes in BitMonero, the discussion itself draws attention to both currencies. Pictures say more than words.

I can understand difficulty changes on BMR. BCN seems to be very strange as usual.

Here is transaction flow chart for both currencies:

You can still vote for BitMonero on Comkort: https://comkort.com/vote

Wow, it's the great chart!

difficulty / 120, you'll have to sync the daemon and check with "set_log 1"
