Posted this on reddit, and people said I wasn't spamming or anything, account in reference is precrime3. I did not break any rules, at least not knowingly and intentionally. If someone could help me out, that be greatly appreciated! Thanks:)

How do you know your account is banned?  Could it simply be hacked?  In such a case, you can send a signed message to Theymos to recover it.

Tells me I can't post or message in this forum in red at the top when I login. Checked posts, all the posts are in my time zone, and non seem foreign.

IIRC, you should have gotten an email or something which tells you why and where you can go for an appeal (although those don't happen often as most bans are justified).

From what I can see from you user here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=238447) it seems like the only logical explanation would be spam. Have you been warned prior to this?

Best thing to do would be to wait for one of the mods to tell you why and if its warranted not to ban evade - as that'll give you an extension.

I don't recall being warned prior to this... And what exactly was spamming?  The only I
would consider "spamming" would be the bumping of my thread, which I only did once, and daily; which was allowed. I wasn't warned, didn't get an email or anything (at least hasn't arrived in inbox). So really have no clue what's going on.. You also mentioned "extension to ban", does that mean ban is only temporary? If so, where can I check when its over? Also, what do you mean by "ban evade"?

1) Either all your spam post were deleted, is why you can't find them

or

2) That account was IP associated with another banned account. (Sounds like you really pissed off a Global Mod.)



Personally I find that the more innocent a previously banned "new account" acts, the more guilty they are.

I'm going with #2.

What do you mean by IP associated with another account? Only accounts I have is mtwelve (this one) and precrime3. I made this account, to find out WHY I was banned (which I do now, nothing to can, just going to wait it out and hopefully not do it again). I use this forum at school on there desktops, my tablet, and my phone. Also my home wifi, so would that possibly have caused a ban?

I doubt it. It's likely that a mod/admin just thought you were spamming or you broke some other rule. I think they should always state the reason and time period when a person is banned though (it would save us a lot of these type of threads).

sounds like maybe the schools IP is banned.
can you try login from your phone via 3/4G or friends house etc.. ?
