Title: catalyst 11.12 negatively impacts mh/s?
Post by: pandemic on January 13, 2012, 08:32:13 PM
I just updated to CCC 11.12 and I'm getting about 10-15mh/s less now. Anyone else experiencing that? The only other changes I made was maybe a .NET update and a smaller PSU because my other one died.

Yes.  it is the SDK 2.6  you need to reinstall SDK 2.5 (or earlier) even uninstalling drivers won't fix this.

If you search the forum you can find instructions.

No it is AMD Open CL SDK.  Each driver includes a specific version of SDK (AMD wraps them all together now).  SDK 2.6 blows.  The only solution is to get rid of it.

gotchya. So uninstalling and reinstalling CCC 11 would resolve it then I assume? I wonder what they screwed up, lol.

No as I said in the first post if you do that it will keep SDK 2.6 and you will see no improvement.

There are a couple of detailed threads with exactly step by step how to fix it.
