Someone reported a bitcoin conference  to police in an university in Guangdong China today.

This conference is named the "2nd bitcoin forum of Guangdong and ShenZhen" which take in ShenZhen University, GuangDong of south China. Topic is to introduce bitcoin to people and talk about the bitcoin business in China. Some of the speakers are the leaders of the most biggest Chinese btc exchanges, like HuoBi,OKCoin, etc.

The guy reported to local police via internet, and said it “Violation of the Constitution and the law”.  As you know, in this communist state, the gov is strictly prohibited the "illegal public meetings and processions" to ensure a full control of the society, from body to mind.

this guy knew this well, so he charged that:" As the state ban financial institutions for btc, and do not support people to trade btc, They still have a btc conference to meet up chinese btc investors, It is against to the policy of the Central bank and Goverment. It can mislead people and cause losses.

And then, the local police reply to him "We will follow up the relevant circumstances"

But finally, the meeting finished with no trouble.

I'm a Chinese, chief editor in a famous btc website in China. I'm very sorry to have such a fucking communist pig in my country.



It clearly showed that, a freedom currency, like bitcoin, could only in freedom society.


The future of crypto currency is in your hands, my friends. Dont worry some fucking state like Russia and China, let them to ban it, and we will still powerful, just like the time of cold war, without the communists, people lived well.

They just want to earn money.
They borrow bitcoin and sell it in advance(many Chinese exchanges provide this service). If bitcoin drops price or dies, they can earn a lot.

So you're not even allowed a meeting about it now?

the fat cats over there are running scared.
no one wants the banksters inflated renminbi, people want bitcoin.
they can ban it all they want, in the end every person with an android cellphone can turn into a walking bitcoin exchange.

I guess this is why no country can ever really ban it, but the fear is sometimes enough to drive it back underground.

Anything "threatening" is banned in China.  They have something that is almost like yoga, Falun Gong, and that is banned in China because it's SOMETHING that COULD undermine the government, theoretically.  China likes to act like it's a real society but in fact it's more closed than most think thanks to propaganda.

china wants to ban it as it usurps their control on the chinese economy

but they also want to get away from the US reserve currency

so using bitcoin as a reserve currency can be an option

one way to get governmets into bitcoin would be to have government officials holding bitcoin!

Can you name one "freedom society" or truly free country?
Bitcoin has a chance to thrive almost everywhere, especially in places where the Gov does the most damage to the economy.

So is it true that p2p trade in China is not "supported" now, and it could lead to unfavorable result for the traders?

I think the Bitcoin marketing strategy in China needs to change. We need to be convincing people that its primary value is a long-term investment and a hedge against inflation or financial crisis, not as a short-term speculative instrument.

There are many Chinese bitcointalk members. I think many of them would like this idea.

Sadly, I cannot.

There are many established Bitcoin companies in China already. All we need is one of them to have this realization. If Bitcoin trading volume in China declines by 99 percent and the 1 percent that remains is people who want to buy and hold, China could have a profoundly positive influence on Bitcoin. It would be in their interest to adopt this viewpoint, we just need to help them realize it.

sigh that's what happen when people don't really understand what Bitcoin is....your government declare something is unlawful and you're scared shitless. Not drawing parallels but like South Korea, the adherence and obedience to authority sometimes blind you of logic.

by protocol, some people have the requirement to report you to university/community cpc cadres for making these claims on an internet forum.
if someone knew you in real life, and knew you posted this online, and they are party members - you would be investigated.
