I have been sitting on these for quite some time, used only one of five since launch. Yes you can use a windows 8 iso and use this key to activate no problem. The best way to find out is to buy one only if you yourself are ready to use it. Install windows 8 and activate. I don't think 25 is too bad for a legit copy of windows 8.
