Is bitcoinica the cause of the current push down? Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: notme on January 16, 2012, 01:37:20 PM I thought Ive seen it at 7.19. Is bitcoinica the cause of the current push down? Perhaps... the * has been there for half a day now so maybe someone decided to try for a squeeze. Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: Timbo925 on January 16, 2012, 01:45:12 PM So prices can't go up on bitcoinica? What if the prices keep rising on mtgox? No one will go out of a long position so bitcoinica trades keep being locked.
Is this a total wrong way of thinking? I'm new to this so still learning with my full 2BTC on bitcoinica :D Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: ultima on January 16, 2012, 01:47:55 PM Prices on bitcoinica go up and down based on mtgox price. Asterisk just means they ran out of money to lend to open new long positions (but you can close your short positions). The price can go to $9 or $5 with asterisk being there all of the time.
Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: Timbo925 on January 16, 2012, 01:55:16 PM Thx I understand it now. Expecting the market to panic at some point so trying to sort.
Maybe not a smart move but we will see 8) Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: proudhon on January 16, 2012, 03:49:43 PM Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: SkRRJyTC on January 16, 2012, 03:54:53 PM Looks like Bitcoin to me :D Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: naima53 on January 16, 2012, 04:01:12 PM Not, it is wildness what that... I have had time to close a long position on bitcoinica with a small loss when saw that 7.2 hasn't been overcome... I so don't play... As though bitcoinica deliberately it would do that there were the forced liquidations... :( :( :( :( >:( >:( >:(

Bitcoinica leads the rally until it gets out of USD - then it cannot buy any more BTC on MtGox - the rally suddenly lacks momentum - people feel that it falters and the tide reverses. Bitcoinica liquidates long positions sells BTC on MtGox, accelerates the down turn and also gathers USD. It is now ready for the next round. I tough is was only when your losses come to close to your balance. Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: notme on January 16, 2012, 04:21:06 PM Not, it is wildness what that... Market is indeed very noise from what I understand with my limited knowledge.

Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: teflone on January 16, 2012, 05:04:52 PM is not same topic this for example is about the lack of USD at bitcoinica Did you hear that.. ? Once again, that plane flew over pretty low... you didnt hear it ? Its almost like Notme is trying to explain something.. Title: Re: look at the asterisk Post by: notme on January 16, 2012, 05:09:22 PM is not same topic this for example is about the lack of USD at bitcoinica It's all just bearish propaganda. I welcome rational bearishness, but when you go short then create 3 threads to talk about how it can only go down you are simply trying to abuse the forums. I hope you get washed out, but I also hope you are right so I can buy more. Either way, I'm happy. Are you as comfortable with all the options? Or are you just creating bearhavens to hide in until the market decides whether you win big or lose big. |
