Title: Re: First Timer Post by: BigMac on April 30, 2014, 12:48:17 PM Now i have a wallet Can somebody guide me what to do next The next step is to earn some bitcoin. :) You can sell goods or services to others, or you can enter a signature campaign when you get more activity point. :) Title: Re: First Timer Post by: blacksails on April 30, 2014, 04:07:46 PM Now i have a wallet The next step is to get some bitcoins. Can somebody guide me what to do next The easiest way is to buy them. Preferably at a exchange or via localbitcoins. It takes more time to transfer money to an exchange, however, you'll get more bitcoins for your money there. Another way is to earn them. There are always some bounties for stuff that has to be done in the Service sub-forum. Or you could get some micro-bitcoins from faucets. That won't earn you much though! Holy crap, is that how you make money!?!?!?!?!? Lol IMO, you can buy some coins and wait for higher price or you can mine altcoins with a good perspective and than change it to BTC Title: Re: First Timer Post by: ChuckBuck on April 30, 2014, 07:09:35 PM First enter into the Newbie lottery and go get some Bitcoin dust at some faucets and free sites:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90718.0 After that, decide if you want to provide a service, sell goods, mine, or trade Bitcoins. Then once you've reached "Member" level after several weeks here, you can try out for one of the Signature campaigns and get paid in Bitcoins for posting. Welcome to the forum. Title: Re: First Timer Post by: cookiemonsterwhat on April 30, 2014, 07:22:36 PM It seems like you got a general sense of what to do.
But just keep in mind outside from making bitcoin, you brush up on basics that most people overlook. Esp when someone loses 150 btc or some crazy large amount was sent to an old wallet address. Or lets say backing up a wallet.dat file not being uploaded, and cant find their balance.
