Intersecting the 1008 day average means nothing more than that the hash rate flattened out during this last period. You can't extrapolate it because it is only one period.

The red arrow seems to suppress the hash rate more effectively than the blue arrows.   Though there is enough future data to be certain.  We should keep the red arrow there and see what happens.

Looks like the difficulty is starting to level off.
