Title: Following the blockchain Post by: AshFir3245 on May 01, 2014, 12:35:53 PM Hello everybody,
I am new here! I have a question: Is it possible to build a system to follow bitcoin around and help investigate transfers. I mean, if you have some known addresses and known transactions you would get output that could help further investigation. I am not talking about a specific case, although it would be nice to follow MT. gox coin trail. (Yes i have been goxxed, both fiat and a few coins were in my balance as of jan 2014...) I guess it is not possible because somebody would have done that by now, but why? Thanks! I mean, if money is divided again and again it's hard for human to follow, but maybe for software it's easier? Title: Re: Following the blockchain Post by: BiTJack on May 01, 2014, 01:04:15 PM At this point there's no software available like that. It's even harder with Bitcoin-qt walles, qt transactions
are made in a way that no one can catch any point of trail. So, only your address forensics skills can help you do that. Title: Re: Following the blockchain Post by: Sindelar1938 on May 02, 2014, 05:27:10 AM You can just track the blockchain around if you want
I go to blockchain.info when I want to look at a particular block Title: Re: Following the blockchain Post by: shorena on May 02, 2014, 07:23:27 AM -snip- Hey Danny thanks for your reply.
