Title: Gridseed not recognized by Windows?
Post by: ErikvanBreen on May 03, 2014, 04:10:10 PM
I have several Gridseed miners a few days ago but one of them is not recognized by Windows, I opened it up and I can see that there are no lights in it aswell.

Since it is not found by Windows I can't use it for mining, is this a DOA unit or is there any way to fix this problem?

Edit: I tried several usb port which is working for the other gridseeds, so it has to be something with the miner itself.

Your help is much appreciated!

Kind Regards,

Erik van Breen

If there are no lights at all when plugged into power and usb it is probably DOA.

Does anything show up in Device Manager?  Sounds like a DOA miner if it just doesn't do anything

nope nothing shows up in the device manager.
I already contacted the supplier and they also replied that it is propably a DOA and will help me out with a replacement when I ship it back.

Wish there was just an easy way to fix it =/ quite expensive to ship back a single miner and wait for a replacement.
