Title: Lost AsiaCoin (AC)
Post by: cooperjj on May 03, 2014, 10:24:03 PM
I'm looking for some advice here.  I'm fairly new to trading alt coins.

I owned a significant number of AsiaCoins in MintPal exchange.  Mintpal took the coin down because they found a "hidden block", and said they would keep the wallet open so owners could transfer out their coins.  I first looked at Cryptsy, but they had also taken AC down.  I then went to Bter where they were still trading AC.  I initiated a transfer of my AC coins from Mintpal to Bter, but before the transfer was confirmed, Bter took AC down.  My coins now seem to be in limbo.  They are neither in Mintpal nor in Bter.  Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

OP I feel bad for you, you are now a certified bag holder of worthless coin. There's nothing you can do about it.

i am glad i didn't mine this very long! I was curious though does anyone know if "mazacoin" is legit or not? I was going to start mining it when the rig i bought off ebay gets here.

It's legit in the sense I don't think the devs will dump the premine. But part of that is due to the fact the coin has tanked so badly, there isn't much to be gained by dumping anyway.

I won't tell you to mine it or not, but do your research on the coin. If it was me, I'd just pick the most profitable coin to mine, sell, and buy whatever I want with the btc gained.

i had been looking around but i have gotten into mining quite a bit more so i ordered 10 block eruptors and a anker hub.  They here here next week but i am having trouble deciding what coin to mine. I think i will do some more research like you said because i'm looking to do this as a hobby but a bit of change is nice too with the normal job i have already.
