Title: Ubuntu Issues With Mining (Do I need dummy plugs)
Post by: mrflibblehat on May 04, 2014, 01:21:35 PM
I have 3 x 6950. all recognised by Ubuntu after driver and amd sdk install.

however when i do "aticonfig --adapter=all --odgt"

I get

Quote
Adapter 0 - AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series
            Sensor 0: Temperature - 58.50 C
ERROR - Get temperature failed for Adapter 1 - AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series
ERROR - Get temperature failed for Adapter 2 - AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series

I also notice the following from SGMiner

Quote
[14:20:33] Started sgminer 4.1.271-18-gf3df
[14:20:33] ADL found more devices than opencl!
[14:20:33] There is possibly at least one GPU that doesn't support OpenCL
[14:20:33] Use the gpu map feature to reliably map OpenCL to ADL
[14:20:33] WARNING: Number of OpenCL and ADL devices did not match!
[14:20:33] Hardware monitoring may NOT match up with devices!
[14:20:33] WARNING: GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT is not specified!
[14:20:33] WARNING: GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS is not specified!
[14:20:33] Need to specify at least one pool server.
Input server details.

Anyone have any idea where I can go from here?

Dummy Plugs sorted it.
