Title: NoFiatCoin-XNF; Best performing crypto of 2014?
Post by: hightide on May 05, 2014, 06:32:36 PM
Which crypto currency has delivered most in the year of 2014 (net growth %) ?

XNF-NoFiatCoin has grown over 800% in the last few months.

DOGE is not a real cryptocurrency as there is no hard cap on the amount produced. It's some other animal entirely. Although I'm not sure what.

OK but if its not Doge then which one is the best performing cryoto?

Is it NoFiatCoin-XNF?

Did anyone do comparative study on performance of cryptos?

Depends on whether you rate short term gains or steady growth.

Black coin went from 500 Satoshis to 80-90,000 in the space of a few weeks. It's fallen back to 28,000 but that's still very impressive.

I believe Bitcoin is way too behind
 ??? ??? ???

Blackcoin looks like it to me. I expect it to continue to go up in value for most of this year.  Dogecoin can only lose value imo.

Good, But it might just be occasional jump. Do you see stability with the coin and when it was introduced in the market?

It is actually matching to its real value. It was introduced on 18 april. Something really worth looking at since litecoin.

In your dreams. You will see it crashes hard, like every other shitcoin. Come on, so much bullshit in these threads.

Do not listen to anybody promoting like this. Take a look into the threads and ask yourself if something is special about the coin. If not they will follow the hundreds of coins that arenīt worth anything.

Agree with you that there are several exciting new digital currencies like Monero but every decision should taken only after scrutinizing each part of it (risk) associated with it because we have seen how fast value of some depletes. How do you see NoFiatCoin-XNF?

Short answer:

It'll give C2 a utility that no other coin has (even bitcoin/litecoin).

You've herd of the petrodollar? C2 will be the gaming crypto.

Bitcoin outperforms every other chain year after year in both development, adoption, and market price increase. The only other one to come close is Litecoin, and then maybe PPC/XPM.

People who argue that Whatevercoin outperforms Bitcoin because "WTV went from .00000001 to .00000008, or 800% increase!!!!11one1!!" are deluding themselves. You might as well go argue about how your RC10 is faster than a Bugatti Veyron because the RC10 goes like 600mph scale speed ::)

I like the cars
Adoption is not as important as the capital that is flowing into bitcoin, the mass amounts of investment spent should be considered when weighing this question, and not exactly how many coins were bought, but the industry that support's the coin.

More or less I agree with you. In spite of grand success of bitcoin, litecoin etc. percentage of people around the world using crypto coins are too less but cryoto currencies are getting popular day by day. Crypto currency industry itself is getting settled after facing several challenges. We have seen some really exciting crypto coins while some like XNF have come up with complete different kind of offers which is indeed talks of the town. Yet I am sure that in future we are going to witness some really exciting cryptos.

XRP

A German bank is already actively using Ripple as part of its transaction Infrastructure, and a member of the W3C as well as a member of the St. Louis Federal Reserve have noted its potential as a ACH replacement. Gateways are beginning to spread across the globe. A well funded and well staffed company exists with a sole focus of ensuring the success of the protocol and network, with ample talent spanning through business and software development. Not to mention a startup incubator now exists to support expansion of the ecosystem.

And... the tech is incredible: transactions that clear in under 10 seconds, cross-currency payments are a reality, and built-in distributed exchange system allows anything of value to be seamlessly traded (Gold, BTC, USD, LTC, NXT, DOGE...).

Above and beyond all else, XRP will perform well because the vast majority of the cryptocurrency community understands it as well as the general population understands Bitcoin. As people begin to grasp the fundamentals, potential, and misunderstandings regarding the protocol and network are dispelled---it is hard to imagine Ripple not taking off.

Surely if Ripple truly takes off then XRP will fulfill its purpose and become what it was designed to be - the lubrication in the system and nothing else.

Depends what one's definition of best performing is. That would mean it was performing well. It would also mean that it wouldn't be an investment of any kind.

This should be titled "Best performing crypto for the 1st quarter of 2014". The title is kind of vague, since only a quarter of the year has passed only.

Since 2014 is not over yet, i can say "Best performing crypto for the 1st quarter of 2014" is Blackcoin. If I have to make some predictions for the best performing coin of 2014 that will be Darkcoin.

definitely number 2 in the crypto world. Just a matter of time. Maybe 2014, maybe 2015

On what parameters you are calling it number 2 crypto?

market cap obv.  innovations anyway number 1, even today
It isn't second by either parameters. Stop talking nonsense.

Yes it is not, because itīs number 1 in case of innovation. And it WILL BE 2nd in marketcap.
Take some reading lessons.

Your English wasn't even correct. No, there are better coins from a tehcnical perspective. Also, I doubt that it will overtake Litecoin soon, if ever.

FTFY. I don't have to name one. Why would I openly tell you in which coin your investment would pay off?
Since I'm the one that doesn't understand the technology (but a member does  ::) ), how about you tell me about the innovations in NXT, and how and why it is better than all the other coins.

So basically you're saying this: If I want to hear the features of NXT (from a technical perspective; innovation) from you, instead of just looking at what the developer wrote in the thread, I'm trolling?
Yup this makes sense.
I wouldn't touch NXT.
