Spain can get a second world cup in a row.. still has very good players

I voted for Japan. They probably would not make it out of the group stage but I just like their playstyle.

I voted for Spain. Couple years back they where playing great but just couldn't win any major tournament. Today Spain plays really nice football and are very effective.

Think cuz there are hosting that Brazil will have little more influence on referees, but i will like to take some1 from Europe i hope.

Excellent prediction only some team like Germany or Holland may intervene, n on statistic some African nation will maybe for time come to semis.

I agree.... Germany and Holland are quite good teams.... I didn't considered them in top-4 because historically, they have preformed poorly while playing matches in South America.

Argentina won't even be in top 4 teams of this World Cup. They are not fit for long tournaments like World Cup, even tho they are from South America.
It would be great for them to land right outside top 4 teams. Like they did in two previous World Cups.

Hmm... so you people are writing off Argentina? But the team will prove you wrong. It is not clear whether Carlos Tevez and Willy Caballero will find a place in the squad or not. But even without them, the XI is super-strong.

Hmm... Brazil on 37.5% and Argentina on 18%. At least the people here agree with me that it will be a Brazil-Argentina final. I am yet to decide on whether I should place any odds on the online gambling sites....  ???

Well.. if both of them top their respective groups (Brazil in Group A and Argentina in Group F), then they will meet only in the finals (provided they win all their knock-off matches). However, if Brazil tops their group and Argentina ends up as the runner up in theirs, then they will meet in the semi-finals.

I will say Croatia with very good reason.
1-st: I think attackers are in impressive shape: For Mario Mandzukic I do not need to say much.
2-nd: Croatian Center: Modric - Rakitic - Srna impressive players with excellent shape.
3-rd: Strong defence.
4-th: Best trainer in last 16 years since Ciro Blazevic.
I hope they will finally show their full potential. Now is time.

^^^ Croatia is in the same group as Brazil, Cameroon, and Mexico. Quite a tough group although I think they will be able to beat Mexico. Cameroon, I am not sure. They can beat any team on their day. Still, more than 50% chances of Croatia qualifying to the PQF.

It's by far the toughest group but I think Brazil & Cameroon will get through. Mexico will give a good game though.

Brazil Spain Argentina Germany are my pics. Not sure if it's possible for them all to get to the semis though as I haven't checked.

I think from this group Brazil and Mexico are better teams for qualifying in next round and Cameron and Croatia have not enough chances for this time

Brazil are the top favorites. South American teams will have improved chances across the board and I consider Spain to be a strong candidate as well.

Holland is in a group with Spain, Chili and Australia. Will be touch and go to even survive the first round.

Chile is not in good form lately, and Australia is not a strong team. So my prediction is that Spain will top the group winning all their matches, with the Netherlands ending as the runner-up.

I'm not sure about the current form if Chile. I figured the teams would be pretty evenly matched (with slight advantage to Chile for being in South America).

Teams such as Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay might have an advantage while playing in Brazil, but I don't think that Chile might be having a similar advantage. The climate in Brazil is quite different from that in Chile.

That is true that Germany has many good players. But only like 1/3 of them are actually Germans.

That is not true. Only a minority of the players are not ethnic Germans (such as Shkodran Mustafi, Dennis Aogo, Sidney Sam, İlkay Gündoğan, Mario Gómez, Antonio Rüdiger.etc). If you are referring to players such as Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose, I have to say that they are ethnic Germans, although born outside Germany.

Podolski and Klose are not ethnic Germans they are Slavs both born in Poland. They moved with their families to Germany when they were little kids. They play for Germany and got German citizenship of course, but they are not ethnically germans. And you mentioned like 6 players (and there are more) who are definitely not close to being ethnic germans. I like their team but just accept that there are not really many ethnic germans in that team.

What if someone is born outside Germany and his both parents aren't German? Will you still say he's German, just because he currently lives there?

I am afraid that you are wrong there. After the WW2, the 1 million ethnic Germans living in Poland were subjected to forcible Polonization. They had to change their surnames, and they were banned from speaking the German language. Once the iron curtain fell, many of these people migrated to Germany under the Aussiedler/Spätaussiedler program.

Sorry guys but you people are not realistic. You know Croatia is for almost 20 years in top 10 in world? Only for short time Croatia is here and then out of top 10 teams.
Sorry guys but mark my words, Croatia, will beat all, and Brasil will have 0:0 only if they will play smart, and that will be very good result for Brasil, if they will have luck.
Also please check form of every Croatian player (from attacker to defence players, all score in last 2 months since they changed trainer. Croatia is in impressive shape, and when you compare Croatian team to any other in the world, they have biggest number of attackers which can score. As far as I see last 2 months all of them score on great level. Mandzukic, Olic, Da Silva, Ilicevic. I am 100% positive there is no team with 4 attackers on so high level.
Besides if you compare last 2 European championships, only great luck put Croatia out of game for 1/2 finale, and on last championship with Italy and Spain, judges helped a lot to Spain. All know that..... But you guys will see. I respect every team, but I am almost 200% positive that Croatia will go trough group very easy. I think Brasil will have more work. YOu will see :)

I don't have a problem with players such as  Shkodran Mustafi representing Germany, as they had spent most of their childhood in that country. On the other hand, there are some nations which pay hefty amounts to already established players, to change their nationality.

Well... I don't know... they have some good players for sure. Arjen Robben has been in good form this year. Robin van Persie, Rafael van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder are all in nice touch. So.... who knows... may be?

It seems Brazil are the most popular by far on here judging by the poll. I don't think they've got the strongest squad but they obviously have the home advantage. They'll go far but doubt they'll win it.

Brazil wont win. I'm not sure who I'd put my money on though yet.

Surprising to see that Germany is the choice of 16% of the people, while Spain is only favored by 6%. I don't know why everyone is favoring Germany to win the title. Their players are not in good form, and previously they had problems with the South American climate.

The Netherlands. I even put a bet on them. They've been close a few times the last couple of years.

I change my mind after last night game with Serbia. Brazil wont make to semis. They play poor and Serbian can even make draw and maybe win. So I give quite a big chance to Croatian team in opening game.

Now we are less Balotelli and Pirlo dependent thanks to Immobile (that maybe is even better than mario) and Verratti. We have a team with a lot of good players, the only thing that really worries me is the possibility that after few matches we lose the physical condition like in the past euro.

Most people voted Brazil because it's the favored and most skilled team, but pay attention to some outsiders like Spain and Argentina...

I would not call Spain an outsider, they won the last world cup and the last two euro cup, in addiction this year Spain had two teams in the Champions League final and two teams in Europe League semifinal (one of which has won the title).

Italy is having only an outside chance to qualify for the Semi Finals. Whatever you claim, it can't be denied that Italy depends too heavily upon Mario Balotelli. Andrea Pirlo is nearing his retirement... and I am not sure about his current form.

France and Netherlands look great, Brazil have the home advantage, while Germany and Argentina should not be underestimated. Ironically, the winner seems more unpredictable after the group phase compared to the start of tournament.

I don't know about you guys but Costa Rica has been amazing. I know they haven't been the best team in history, but i saw the game between Costa Rica and Italy, and i gotta say, they did quiet well. They are between my top 5 for winning the cup.

I think Germany has the strongest team and bench. They would have to play Brazil in the semifinals and that would be a BIG test...but i think they win.
I think Belgium could really go far and possibly beat Netherlands in the semi's..
