A celebrity endorsement would be nice... Kanye rapped about euros as a "safe-haven" currency. If he rapped about bitcoin it would spike interest. Nerds are "in" right now they're "super cool." Lighter than Bitcoin Spinner? Bitcoin Spinner is good, but I like the Electrum model more. And we need a lightweight client for iPhones, because iPhone suers are usually the early adopters. And currency conversion built-in would be nice feature for those apps, so that people can easily send money back and forth. Title: Re: What will popularize Bitcoin? Most likely ever growing mass of speculators supporting a long time bull market hitting critical distribution at some point so amazon and co. accept it and it becomes a currency.
