Title: LocalBitcoins Hacked! Another MtGox in the Making?

WOW, LocalBitcoins is the latest victim of hackers. Users reported loosing bitcoins and LocalBitcoins excuses is because they don't have 2-step-verification enabled! is LocalBitcoins another MtGox in the making?

well they werent hacked, it was the people that probably got phished thru there computer, the accounts got hacked

It's not going to stop those who were lax with the security in looking after their coins from having a moan and using this as an excuse to blame someone else. People really need to start learning to use 2 factor or you can't complain when your coins go walkies.

Helps that their escrow is a pass through rather than used as an online wallet as MtGox unfortunately was
Anyway my understanding is that the LB situation has been resolved

Anyway... in the end it turned out that the localbitcoins guys were more prepared and careful when compared to those moonbats of Mt Gox. No coins were lost and no fiat was stolen. Excellent response.  ;D

I wonder if this the same hosting provider as the one involved in the Poloniex attack?

My first thought as well, also wonder if it's the same grouped that hacked Poloniex as well. Could just be a copy cat attempt after it was shown how vulnerable hosting providers can be.
