Title: [DEAD] Alex's Pool (pool.schaetter.us) Post by: aschaetter on January 19, 2012, 06:12:31 AM Alex's Pool
I've been running a private pool for my friends and myself for the past two months. We have found our first block and are now accepting public beta registrations. The development of this pool will be very user driven, so feel free to join and send me your opinions, so we can build a great pool!
We're currently offering a 3 BTC bonus for the next block finder! ;D The website is located at pool.schaetter.us (http://pool.schaetter.us) Mine at pool.schaetter.us:8337 Title: Re: [3-10 GH/s Prop] Alex's Pool (pool.schaetter.us) Post by: martychubbs on January 19, 2012, 07:47:29 AM Nice pool, no stales

I pointed miners here 24/7 and purchased shares from GPUMax. Between the loss of normal mining proceeds and the cost of shares at GPUMax, it doesn't make tons of sense paying for a VPS that has been inactive for over a month. I'm open to discussion about different ways to encourage a sustainable hashrate and start finding blocks, but I honestly feel that it's time to cut my losses and wash my hands of this project. The community seems to be moving towards p2pool, DGM, and other hop-proof methods to prevent situations just like this one. We should leave proportional to the pros like Tycho. I mean, do we really need another dead prop pool like Bloody's? I'd like to attempt to shake off any stench of A1 sauce by offering to pay PPS from my personal wallet for the shares that anyone wasted with me in this experiment. It could be a few days before I can get to the database and make manual payouts, but feel free to post your payout address if you wish to be paid publicly. It was a fun experiment, albeit an expensive one, but it's about time to move on before the situation gets any more sour. :-[ Title: Re: [30 GH/s Prop] Alex's Pool (pool.schaetter.us) Post by: rjk on March 12, 2012, 02:45:35 AM Long story short, it looks like just about everyone has given up mining here, myself included.
