What does the traffic look like on an enterprise network?  I work in an IS department, but I am on the application side of things, and don't fully know what the traffic would look like to that admin.  Would it raise flags?  I have full access on the network bypassing most firewall rules, but I don't want him to see the traffic and have to ask me about it.  Would it look like torrent traffic, or something similar to FTP traffic?

Also, I was considering purchasing an Ant Miner since I wouldn't have to worry about electricity, which is really the basis of this question.

if you're mining to a pool, then the bandwidth usage is negligible. as for what it "looks" like, a stratum connection is a text protocol, and getwork is http with optional long polling.

What ports are typically used with this type of traffic if using pool mining?  If there is a document that goes over this, I can just read that too. 

if you are scared about that, then run on a pool that does port 80 or simular http/https port usages.. noone will notice.

Or alternatively, get a 3g connection to run your stuff off if your just stealing electricity at work..

if you're paranoid about traffic monitoring, you can set up a ssh tunnel from your workplace to your home computer or vps.

Usually stratum port is 3333 or 3332, but as other users told you the requested bandwith is very low, no one will notice it

If the admin knows mining, its pretty easy for him detect the traffic.
If its now allowed to run on this network then you should avoid it.
Otherwise you can as said above setup a vpn, then its pretty impossible for your admin (at least to read the traffic)
