Title: 180 days + bump?
Post by: monbux on May 11, 2014, 01:52:31 AM
Hello, so I started a currency excahnge thread last year
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=338812.0

It went well, I did quite a few transactions... Then just stopped it.

I'm planning to start it again, am I allowed to bump the thread even after 180 days (it gives a warning)?

"Necro posting" is frowned upon, but only because there is usually no new useful information for that thread.

If you are reviving an old thread, and it is relevant to the thread, I can't see why that would be an issue!

I think you'll be fine with your own thread, especially when it's got info of your previous trades in you might want to keep as reference. You can always start a new thread and link to that one, but on this occasion I'm pretty sure it's ok.

Should be OK, if you specify that you restarted the thread.
By the way,  $924.52 USD/1 Bitcoin is NOT OK  :P

Correct, you are fine.

Alright, thanks for the answers everyone.  Was troubling me for a while, as for I've seen many getting flagged for necro-ing a post... Thx!

That was so last year ;)
