Title: Anyone have MSI 890FXA-GD70 mb? Post by: QuantumFoam on January 21, 2012, 02:13:02 AM I have a mining rig set up to boot off a usb stick on this motherboard. Unfortunately, no matter what I do it refuses to boot from the USB 3.0 ports. The usb stick supports USB3, the problem is the USB3 ports on the motherboard seem to be unpowered at post time and only get power after the OS starts. The USB 2 ports work fine to boot off of, but the IO performance would be better if I could use it on the usb3 ports. If you have this board, have you had any luck getting it to boot using the USB 3 ports?
