Title: Which ASIC hardware are you backing?
Post by: bitlind on May 12, 2014, 05:17:45 PM
Hey guys, wanted to see your thoughts on the ASIC front.

My stance is no to pre-order, I will continue to purchase Gridseed blades from GAW or Zoomhash until something viable ships from one of these other manufacturers.  Pre-orders have burned so many people.  The units from Zoomhash and GAW appear to be re-branded Zeus miners, so I didn't post them here

I have 4 MH/s of gridseeds and I will pry just keep adding to them as they get cheaper and cheaper.

Low watt and cheap per device, easy to work with and add.

Has anyone else noticed over the last 24-36 hours this kit from zoomhash started out at $2399 for 4 GSD blades, then jumped to $2799 for about an hour, then $2999, and finally now resting at $3299?

Did anyone get an order in during those times and secure that pricing?  I almost jumped at the 2399, but I am assuming the blade prices will fall dramatically come the 31st.  Watching it go back up I started kicking myself, but am reaffirmed by recent news.

GSD Blades are probably still the best way to go until others ship, and even then, Gridseed will still remain competitive to stay afloat in this cut throat market, or they will die off.

And it looks like Zoomhash is asleep at the wheel as Hashra, GAW and others compete in price.... might be something to take stock in.  Currently their units are at ridiculous prices.

I will continue to purchase Gridseed blades from GAW or Zoomhash until something viable ships from one of these other manufacturers.

Innosilicon A2 Terminators have been available for over a week now. You can buy them through some of the Chinese vendors who have accounts here. You are seriously tossing money away if you continue to buy Gridseed when you can get an A2 up and running within 24 hours through the guy I use who is offering 60% down, the rest in two weeks with hosting at half the price of GAW and the first month free.

The problem is not everyone has 12k readily available for this machine.  I am interested though, sending you a pm.

Hashra all the way, just because the Customer Service they provide... and prices are getting more affordable and inline with other manufacturers.
