Title: Anyone else pissed about Mintpal voting rule change?
Post by: tokyoghetto on May 13, 2014, 12:23:35 PM
mintpal changed their coin voting rules from 5 per hour to 1 per hour. But they will continue to take paid votes for coins. So some coins will require 100s of dollars in BTC just to make it to the top ten, and it may take months before they get listed. 1 vote per hour will get some coins no where and this forces people to pay for votes if they ever want to see their coin listed.

I see plenty of great coins that no chance in hell of getting on mintpal now because they have small communities.

I wish these exchanges had a better way to decide what coins get listed.

In before 1 btc per vote

Don't give mintpal any ideas they might just do that.

Well, from what i understand, people were abusing the 5 vote per hour rule.

Basicly you could bot your way to the top, with few thousand fake accounts. Now it takes 5x longer to do it.

Tho, they should have also reduced the price for paid votes to match this.

In essence, it all comes down to BTC
