IDK about that, i personally havnt invested in it, but its price is worth far more than Doge or many other coins for that matter.
I read how they have got some excellent developers working on it, so ive left it there.
What about blackcoin?
It was around 88c and now its dropped right back.
Im surprised how successful TAG coin has been also, i wish i mined some at the beginning.

What's everyones thoughts on darkcoin?

Worldcoin was claiming to be heading to $5 not so long ago.

Problem is the cult-like, dysfunctional mentality that developed.

Then there was a sell-off in private, allegedly, which the foundation claimed was due to its FB page being hacked.

Vertcoin is at 1.05$

My thought is that it is flavour of the month.

Making money on alts is hard, and I always avoid ones that have risen in price significantly.

I dont know whats up with blackcoin, alot seem to be talking about that coin.
I was going to invest a bit in darkcoin as i was keen to set up a master node, dont know how far that coin will go yet, it could be a big spike like what happened with vertcoin.

Ive been waiting for something like this for some time.
I never found anything to attract me with goldcoin as a currency however.

The interesting thing about Goldcoin (GLD) as a currency is how much consumers prefer the name.

As we can continue to evolve and innovate, I think the technology/name layers will prove to be a highly successful combination.

Yes quite true, i cant see anything attractive about litecoin's name for instance.
I feel that alot of people will liken the name goldcoin to either something that holds its value such as gold, or possibly suggest that the coin was backed by gold.

If the bitcoin price increases significantly and there is a lot of merchant uptake of Nxt then it could increase a lot.  Don't know about $1 though.

Darkcoin is never the flavour of the month. For that you had country-coins , color coins , etc. Since the beginning the Darkcoin dev has been working non stop to make his vision a reality and it's starting to show because people are taking notice. He keeps adding new features all the time and others simply follow in his path copying and finding short term success.

Litecoin reached $25 at its peak so dont see why NXT wont get to $1

Wrong litecoin hit $49 usd at it's peak , NXT won't hit a $100 because it's a crap coin.

It must have been a long time ago, because it was only $25 at the start of this year, and its only been going down.
I think litecoin is a fail coin, offers nothing new to the table, just more coins, shorter block time(which is still too slow) and scrypt mining to avoid ASIC's.

NXT can do more than any other coins combined, i never used to be a fan of it, but i can see its the only way to go.

This is an interesting poll, but Megacoin was well north of $1 not long ago. Once the panic over the paranoid Chinese banks is forgotten, MEC will continue it's rise to well beyond a buck.

And 1$ is expected allready at the end of 2014 for NXT and  some time 2015 for NEM. (NEM have 4x more coins  ;) ).

I think right now it is impossible to find such coin.

Megacoin is the most undervalued coin.

Megacoin's developers have saved most of the altcoins from failure with the KGW algorithm.

They are currently working on a secret project that is said to be quite groundbreaking.

It is planned to be announced and implemented later this month.

so those that want to invest better do it now.

I am glad it dipped back below a dollar and to the current price as it allowed me to increase my stack significantly...

MEC already hit $3 once as said before. Dr. Kimoto Chan created Megacoin and the Kimoto Gravity Well, now used by over 200 alts.

Kimoto says something big is going to be released in advance of MEC in the very near future. When this indeed is something big like the KGW, expect MEC to rise hard. So 1$ at the end of the year seems pretty plausible. Maybe even more  :D

Well, if you pay less than 1c for some of them and they hit $1 in the same year then it starts to look like a good idea.

Not saying it isn't im just saying there is lots of spam in the form of altcoins lately.

I'd be very surprised if megacoin was not at least $1 by July end, let alone end of year

I also expect bitcoin to be over $1500 by end of year so that will be mean a lot of good alts like megacoin, peercoin rising exponentially in marketcap
