This is a giveaway thread for "1 Troy Ounce 999 Silver Bullion Warehouse Receipt Tokens". Yes these can be used to acquire real physical silver bullion.

These assets are listed on the NXT asset exchange so you will need to download the NXT client. It can be found here http://nxt.org/client-download/

The amount given will be based on factors like, whether i know you, your activity, the quality of your posts, ect... but there is no formula, its all down to my own subjective interpretation of these factors and what i feel like sending.

I am giving away real silver here that costs quite a bit of money. This is not like a random alt coin made for free by changing a few lines of code. I have to actually buy the silver to keep as reserve or send in the mail if people request payout. Also there is likely to be a HUGE demand. What this means is that I will have to be highly discriminatory. People with small post count and low quality posts will probably not get more than a very small amount while reputable hero members may get as much as a quarter of an ounce. Those in the middle, senior members, and full members with a history of good quality posts will probably get between 1 - 5 grams. Also this is all going to have to do with how much interest there is. The more requests the less I will be able to send to each user.

well yea they have to be strict. people make sock puppet accounts to scam giveaway threads. the only thing to be done about it is to just use good sense and good judgement and err on the side of caution and even then you are going to get taken by some people.

ah well they can always just put it in their signature.

im sending you a nxt also so that you can use it to register an alias. doing this will generate a key pair. generating a key pair is necessary for security.

its sort of this weird grey middle ground because essentially what we are talking about here are colored coins. i think colored coins fit into altcoins but im not sure.

nxt is the blockchain that is used to do accounting for my silver certificates. i could have done it on counterparty or mastercoin also but nxt is superior.

to secure your wallet you just need to make a transaction. since it costs the same to register an alias as it does to send 1 nxt back to yourself, you may as well register an alias to secure your account. just select the aliases tab and in the top right you will see "register alias"

i don't sell warehouse receipts. i only issue them to people who put silver in my warehouse. if you want a receipt you will have to buy one from one of them. they will probably be going up tomorrow on the asset exchange. everything thats on the asset exchange right now is only from my giveaway.

No i cant warehouse things like rare coins because they are rare. i need homogeneous goods. i could do something like wheat or rice or copper because 1 unit is interchangeable for another. with say paintings, each is unique, no 2 are interchangeable for eachother. the same is true of rare coins, though to a lesser extent, still enough of an extent to make it so that there is no point to run a business like this around them though.

Ok, but I saw you are melting the bullion and making your own bars. I have beautiful 10oz art bars from Sunshine Mining. I'd hate to see them melted down.

well the minimum order size is 10 troy ounces and im not prepared to give away quite that much but you can buy enough to make up the difference, you can sell it on the asset exchange, or you can hold onto it and sell it later if you think the price of silver will rise faster than the price of nxt.

yea I've seen it. its a very fancy website but i just don't get it. How do you issue one asset thats backed by so many different things with so many different values? how do you know how many tokens you need to redeem for a given coin? if they say than how do you know how do you know that they are giving you the right amount for the number of tokens you sent when everything is valued differently and the relative disparity in value between each thing is changing so often and so subjective to begin with.

The consider certain coins bullion and use the value of gold an silver of their holdings to determine what they will redeem an XNF for. People trade XNF as well, so the value of it on the exchange isn't the same as the value nofiat will give you if you redeem for gold.

Also, they say you can request certain types of bullion, but there is no guarantee that is what you will get.

ya that's what im talking about. 1 of my tokens equals 1 ounce of silver, now and always, and you always know exactly what you are getting because all of the bars will be the same. none of this estimating the total value of our holdings, dividing it by the total number of coins, then estimating the value of different coins and sending you the estimated redemption amount, then refunding some of the nofiatcoins depending upon our own internal calculations. this is all the sort of stuff i have tried so hard to avoid. i mean of course i thought about it, it would make my life so much simpler, but i just dont think it would be nearly as useful as the service i am trying to provide.
