Title: building a only x11 mning rig Post by: goodluck0319 on May 15, 2014, 03:55:04 PM I got 2 extra mboard. both are only 4 slot available (1x and 16x).
what gpu I need to buy for x11 coin? what psu I need to buy also? one mb w/ i7 2700k cpu and other is 1150 socket w/o cpu. what do u guys recommend me? Title: Re: building a only x11 mning rig Post by: telostia on May 15, 2014, 08:59:00 PM atm its really hard to mine darkcoin. my rig has 4 270x saphire vaporx, pentium cpu z87 gigabyte board and 1.25kw seasonic psu(though i could run 2 more gpu with it only issue is that MB only can handle 4) and im hashing 1.3 to 1.4mh/s each gpu which makes roughly 5.29mh/s and im only getting less than 0.5drk/per day.
if u really want to mine anyway. use a low powered cpu 270x is better hashing/dollar its 180W . any 80plus power supply which can handle the amount of gpus u throw at it. I'd recommend the Nvidia 750Ti card for x11 mining. I've seen reports of 2+Mh/s on those cards and their power consumption is way lower than anything AMD. For PSU I always go for Seasonic brand, gold or platinum certified for efficiency. Not sure on the power usage of the 750Ti's on x11 though, so I can't recommend anything specific. Title: Re: building a only x11 mning rig Post by: Bombadil on May 15, 2014, 09:09:45 PM Yeah, I can support that claim. GTX750TI is running 2-2.2MH. Here are my little darlings, an EVGA SC and gigabyte one: https://i.imgur.com/tCNRalD.png
You'll need to run the latest source code though, latest official release gets around 1.5-1.7MH. You can compile it for yourself (https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminer) or run my compile (https://github.com/KBomba/ccminer-KBomba/releases/tag/V1). But it will probably be released by the time you've got your bits and parts together :) |
