Title: Should an EWallet be called something else? If so, what?
Post by: bitlotto on April 19, 2011, 12:10:53 PM
Found the discussion pop up: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Talk:EWallet (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Talk:EWallet) and figured here would be a great place to discuss it.

Myself, I like Group Wallet. Browser-based kind of limits what it's actually about. It could potentially be used outside of a browser setting. I do agree though that EWallet doesn't really describe what it is.

For the money in my bank, I don't refer to it as a wallet -- my money is in my account with my bank.

Similarly, my bitcoins at Mt. Gox are not stored in an ewallet.  Mt. Gox's web site shows the number of bitcoins in my account with them.

So these are simply "online accounts"?
