Title: [ANN] STABLECOIN UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Post by: parkranger455 on May 15, 2014, 10:23:23 PM

Welcome to the Takeover OF STABLE COIN

we have sat on the sidelines watching DARK COIN become successful for its famous anonymous coin mixing. watching this success we have decided to takeover the coin and launch it the way it should have when it first came on the market. we hope to replicate and better dark coin success.

to see all info on stable coin please visit previous threads.
Website from previous devs:http://stablecoin.net
Link to previous Dev thread:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349198.0

what we will be working on POS
anonymous coin mixing.
multipool
hardware wallets
anonymous debit cards

we will aim to get the coin active again this week and this time we will take careful steps to build the projects mentioned to ensure the future of stable coin is secure.

a coin is nothing without a strong community. we hope you support our decision and you will soon see our vision of stablecoin taking its place among the coin leaders in the future.
Watch this space

what we require from the community
if you have any ideas that should be implemented feel free to post
we will try to get stablecoin active ASAP so any new logo design, website design etc will be kept to last.

Nevermind http://stablecoin.net works for me now !

For new people:

You can buy SBC (stablecoin) at cryptsy (SBC/BTC) or coinedup (SBC/mBTC)

The cap is only 30K $ now or so

this looks good, the potential is massive if managed properly. i think it would be too early to say it will go head to head on dark it is looking like stable coin made the mixing technology first. let us know if you need anything dev

So is this a relaunch or continue of the old coin ?
If some one buys coins now on Cryptsy are they this coin or some old fork ?
More info on that would be great to start off.

we will just be picking up where the previous dev's left off. the coins you buy on cryptsy will be the same coins. the coin has great innovation and it was a abandoned all of a sudden with some pool's still working and miners still mining the coin. some members were still mining this coin when dev's left. it showed us there is interest especially after seeing Dark coin success.

our aim is to beat if not be a strong competitor to Darkcoin, this will happen over time and with a strong commnunity we can make this happen. we hope to expand our development team as we go along to cement stable coins future.

Thank you for your support

Thank you for the fast reply, just one more question :)
So do people still mine this coin or is it PURE POS ? I could not the coin specs anywhere, not in this thread and not in the original thread.

yes you can still mine this coin, it is not fully POS yet but we are looking to do this as this can stabilize the coin, but our main focus is not the multipool it is creating anonymous transactions. The previous dev's have done a poor job of not providing specific details but the coin is under new management and we will learn from their mistakes

If not, whats the new functionality in your release?

Ignore!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

This coin has been massively pumped and dumped TWICE now.

Dead, resurrected by the dev who had mysteriously vanished, and then promptly mysteriously vanished again (coincidentally right after a massive price rise).

Leave this trash in the grave where it belongs.

there was not enough interest in paycoin to continue it. i could easily have created a new account to remove any bad history, but with darkcoin success stablecoin will have a future

we will not release any details because we could say something fancy and price could be pumped and accusations like sixteendigits will fly around. we plan to provide proof we are serious not all just talk.

Then I dont see why you started this thread now, if not for pumping.
You could have waited for another 72 hours, since you had already waited months on this, and then came with a bang with as many functionalities as you like.
You must be hoarding a lot , right  ;)
Nice try.

we have not said anything specific to make the coin rise. we would advise you to buy when you are sure. if i were to say like the wallet will have coin mixing function would that help?. the feature needs to be implemented for us to be taken seriously. i can tell you we are picking features from other coins that have released wallets and have been success, within in the time frame. the best features will come later as we work on it. we do not plan to rush things, but appreciate all the help we can get.

we would not release the wallet out straight away, before making a announcement that the coin is being taken over. we have stated our plan and 48hrs-72hours the wallet will be released

to take you seriously, you need to be transparent and tell us what functionalities you are working on for this new release.
You cant just come and say, we cant say anything about the details, but a wallet will be released, and expect the community to rally behind you.

Nobody is asking you to provide a release in 72 hours.
If the described functionality is not met within the 72 hours, then the release can be pushed back.
In the mean time, you can check in your work into git and the whole community can see it.
Thats how you gain community support.

I dont want to waste any more of my time on this thread and yeah I will check back in 72 hours.

This whole thing has a very Worldcoin-esque feel to it, which I really don't like. Judging by the sell orders on Cryptsy someone is getting rid of their coins. I'm not saying it's OP, but I'd tread VERY carefully with this. I'll be watching this closely, it's either a shameless pump or a legitimate attempt to resurrect Stablecoin. I sincerely hope for the latter.

totally agree with you, i'm being cautious not buying in, there is a risk if OP delivers it will shoot up massively so if it does drop i will buy some, not much of a dump going on so i am still hopeful.

other DEVELOPERS should take on this project. if i knew how to i would do it.

This is a good one:

These ones are working also:

http://sbc.ub3rl33t.com/

low hash:

I am currently mining it and have received payout already

Because the NET hashrate is still pretty low, you receive a nice amount of coins even with a small rig :)

Isn't publically taking someone else's intellectual property an infringement of copyright law?  Artos hasn't abandoned his coin.  His website is up, the wallet still has 9 to 10 active connections, sometimes more and the block explorer is being paid for.

Usually a coin takeover is through permission from the developers or because the coin has been abandoned.  Am I correct in stating that the only thing you can do is produce a hard fork in the hopes that the Stablecoin community will follow?

I recall that Fedoracoin, aka TIPS, took the same route.  Look at its value.

I say go for it, miners can decide to use the wallet with the coin of the highest value.

It is clear that this coin has been abandoned if you read the old thread (2nd takeover)

There has been numerous requests for a hard fork in the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349198.1660

So this could be it (or not)

The name "Stablecoin" and the shortname "SBC" aren't open source.  What do you plan to call this new coin?  What's stopping a group of devs taking over BTC, its open source also.

I am just trying to get a grasp of what is going on with SBC.

You must be referring to a 51 percent attack to take it over.  The current block chain goes back to the last hard fork done by Artos.  Could take weeks or months maintaining the 51 percent.  If the take over devs succeed, then the question is will Artos return to get his coin back?

Very unethical because the takeover devs could go back as far as they wanted, messing with transactions causing those transactions to be invalid.   They could make a big mess of the current block chain.

Looking at the current hash rate, it doesn't appear they will succeed.

:)How do we know you are not trying to pump the price, so that you can offload your stash?
To start with yours is a newbie account, without any credentials

Looks like that pump was short lived.  The price is headed back down to around .00000250.  Looks pretty stable at that price because there isn't much interest in selling it for BTC. ::)

Stablecoin really needs the proof of stake concept added to provide incentive to hold coins.  Also, mitigation against scrypt asic attacks and the mixing service as promised by the elusive original devs.

Stablecoin's mostly low network hashrate provides miners the opportunity to amass 10's to 100's of thousands of coins and they appear to be ready to dump those coins on any price spike.  This activity will continue unless the Stablecoin network hashrate stays in the hundreds of Mhash/s or higher with the hashrate distributed amongst many miners.  Doesn't seem likely.

Duh, if you'd looked at his post history you would've seen he has already pulled this trick before on another dead coin.

Agreed.  Just some prick who buys tons of dead coins, pretends there is a "takeover" of this coin he has nothing to do with, that he's leading, then dumps them on everybody's head for big profit.  He'll probably change names for the next dump, though he didn't even bother this time.

How about we post negative feedback en masse on the trust section of his profile? Of course this won't stop him from creating new accounts and trying the same thing with other abandoned coins but it doesn't cost a thing anyway. All his posts scream SCAM. We can also wait another couple of days before doing that if you think it's worth it.

He dont have any reputation anyways and like you said he could easily create a new account.
May be he will come better prepared next time, if he is hoarding a lot of these coins.
So be watchful people.  8)

If only crypto trading had some kind of security system. If you do this on wall street and get caught you go to jail for a considerable amount of time, but here you just make another anonymous account and manipulate markets and steal peoples money no problem. Scums. Karma a biatch though.
