Please don't do it unless they support split key generation an even then make sure they are using it and not just lying. If you have a decent graphics card, use oclvanitygen - it searches for more keys per second. Try checking out either sam7's or the Lifeboat one (the latter has improved support for AMD cards IIRC). If you reuse your special vanity address, you may loose that anonymity. Reusing addresses also slightly lowers your address security. Not enough to jeopardise your coins, but you should be aware of that fact.

The vanity addr generator tries to match your characters randomly. The less character u take, the more chances u have ...thats all. IF you know enough on the vanity gen, and can see its easy to use your self go ahead. But, most people I have spoken get confused despite how simple it can be. I can add details with the links later, but you should look up on this on your own in the mean time. Just stick with normal btc address thats created from your wallet, so the coins you have wont go anywhere. |
