Title: Why Darkcoin when there is Darkwallet?
Post by: cuddaloreappu on May 16, 2014, 05:25:46 PM
it is very clear that the major feature of Darkcoin is anonymity..Darkcoin helps anonymity by pooling the transactions to gether in the block chain.

But if its anonymity, then why go for darkcoin when there is dark wallet that does the same with bitcoin itself.

These anonymous coin are hot now ( because they are getting pumped) Bu once people built anonymous wallets on top of bitcoin & litecoin then they will quickly be dumped.

There are always multiple projects trying to solve the same thing in a different way. Like it is the case with many products, be it cars, computers or other. Dark wallet may push them off the market, but they are still in alpha version now. The guys are working hard on it, see https://github.com/darkwallet/darkwallet/graphs/commit-activity (https://github.com/darkwallet/darkwallet/graphs/commit-activity)
the code activity varies from 60-200 changes per week.
