If you bought in at $1000, that was of your own accord. Same thing with "why this is happening" to you. Don't jump in if you're unwilling to accept the risks. It's just like a lot of things involving money.

Without China, they would have never happened even with all this good news. You should have never seen the prices and if you didn't, then you wouldn't be feeling this pain.There is hope to see it again though: Look for developments in New York, particularly new exchanges. Most poor people are the ones who thought "I want to sit on my ass all day doing nothing", and now they do. Working minimal wage while not sitting on the ass is a sad sideeffect.
