He donates 250BTC (100.000$) to who is able to create a open source system that replace the BF.

I'm also sure an organisation llike them is bound to fail at some point or another, but a decentralised organisation will be interesting.

The Bitcoin Foundation is paying one or more lead devs, so they do control "something" which is very important.
