Also, I am willing to provided interest free loans to trusted members; members that have conducted many trades here.  This is simply to reward them for contributing to our community, sort of like a "veteran bonus".

why do you think that people with 110% of altcoins as a collateral would want a loan from you? they can sell their altcoins to get btc.

The same reason that people don't sell their house when they want a car loan. If people expect the price of an altcoin to rise if they were to sell it and buy it back again they would buy back less than initially - however if it is used as collateral they don't have to worry about that issue.

This.  People like to hold onto their altcoins in case there is a massive spike upwards in trades.
Offer is still open, feel free to request!

A collateral of doges is valid?

Yes.  I accept DOGE as a collateral. What is your loan request and how much DOGE are you putting up as collateral?

This microloan offer is still open.  Remember, you must provide a valid collateral.

THat is a clear lie so what im going to do is do so much seo on grand ritz it gets deranked by gogle and im going to write a 1500 word article on why the owner is a pedophile.

should of really not commented in my thread.

I'm looking for .4 BTC loan (not a newbie here). Repayment can be anywhere between 2-8 days and I will pay the said 1% daily interest compounded for each additional day.

Well it looks like there are almost no buyers for RDD... except for a few big ones.  If they close their trade, it's all over xD
How much RDD are you offering?  I need a large amount to fund this loan as for it is not a well known coin.

Current active loan with: coinmaster222.  He requested 0.02 BTC.  0.0215 BTC to be returned in 1 week.  Collateral: 0.5 LTC and 1.625 MN1 shares.  Thanks!

Need 0.05btc loan
collateral- my bitcointalkfull member account with 182 activity, but has been banned for 2weeks. can be sold for 0.1btc easily.
payback- 0.056btc on friday

Not a collateral.  and I don't like dealing with accounts.  Also, there was a reason for why you were banned, and I don't want to know about it, but just putting it out there. :P Sorry, denied.  Supply me with a stable altcoin collateral and we'll talk about it.

Currently have another 0.08 BTC for lend...  I guess I'll take 3 active loans, as long as you have a valid collateral :)

So I've noticed that a lot of competitors are copying my loan template.  That's great, to see people asking for collateral (remember to use escrow for un-trusted members!)  But I still think mine is the best ;)  Currently still many BTC to lend, shoot me a PM and we can get started on a loan deal. :)

11000000 Reddcoin collateral has been sent back to sonysasankan.  Thank you very much for the deal, hope to conduct more trades/loans in the future! :)  Still offering loans :)

Also, I'm planning to allow no-interest loans for certain requests. :)

The Original Post has been updated.

Forgot to edit that all loans have been repaid successfully, and on time :)

I am still offering more loans, willing to go up to ~0.9 BTC as long as you have a valid collateral!

Monbux, it might not mean much, but I'd like to say I really do respect and in a sense admire what you are doing.
Offering interest free loans for people here and possibly supporting a good cause in the process is deserving of acknowledgement
in some form I guess.

I'd like to send a small tip your way even though I'm not taking a loan out.  Could you list your address?

Keep your tip, buy yourself a beer man ;)  Thanks a lot!

But hey, if you have a friend who happens to be trustworthy with a charitable loan cause and just once again happens to have a stable altcoin collateral, just refer him to me, would you? :P

Well, I guess that would depend entirely on the borrower's reputation and his reason for the loan.
I would require some sort of profit though :P

*Offering loans without collateral for special users.  PM me if you really need it.*
Do not bother me if you don't have one of the following:

- a solid reputation
- a good reason
- *preferred if you traded with me in the past

Just a beta thing right now, we'll see how it goes.

I pmed you an offer for one of your microloans... Please reply back, even if to discourage it.

I know I have no collateral to give you, but I did offer a second idea that involves you not giving me the loan.

In my case it would be AAA+ cryptostocks bond acquisition. Loan duration 30-60-90 depending on the type of bond, ratio etc.

I do not know if purchased stocks can be offered as collateral. I am new to the site.

Just curious, what do you gain from giving out an interest-free loan with no collateral?

I'd like to borrow 0.8 BTC until Friday July 18th.

I have to cover an order for 1.85 BTC.
0.8 of it is hung up through Coinbase until Friday eve.
I can transfer as many AM shares through Havelock as you need for collateral.

I am currently in the process of funding jdany with a loan of 0.8 BTC.  He has provided 6 AM1 (AsicMiner) shares as collateral.
Will post full details today.

I think it's awesome that lending in our community has matured to the point where you can take/make a loan with little risk on either side of the transaction.
I have to say, it would have never done that without the help of some of our senior members keeping lenders and lendees honest.  I have a lot of respect for Vod, DiamondCards and their ilk.

No longer the wild-west with lending.

To compete with all the other awesome loaning threads, I will be making some changes to this loaning topic soon, for the better.  Stay tuned!

Confirmed, jdany has repaid 1 day early hence a repayment of 0.84 BTC (0.005 BTC reduced)  Collateral has also been returned to the email jdany sent me in PM.

Thanks for the great lending experience.  Will leave trust feedback!

jdany applied for a 0.3 BTC loan, and he returned 0.31 BTC the next day.  I am posting here for reference.  Thanks for being an awesome borrower. :)

Hi,

Sadly, I don't loan out any DOGE, but you can obviously buy it with bitcoin if you need a loan of BTC from me.  I would still expect a repayment in BTC though.

Denied.  I have no idea who you are, and IDK if you need it so bad that you might be willing to scam.
Sorry.  If you have a valid collateral to offer (which I'm guessing you don't) feel free to bring it up and I'll supply you with a loan :)

I'm looking for a loan of 1 BTC

I can offer CloakCoin as collateral.

I need the loan for about 2 weeks plus a day.

I get a cheque in 2 weeks for over $900 so that is how I will be able to pay you back

I say + a day to allow for processing cash-to-bitcoin.

As I said above, I have CloakCoin for collateral.

How many Cloaks should i offer up for the 1 btc? we can come to an agreement.

I will definitely want my CloakCoins back :)

The general rule is around 120% of the value that you are borrowing.

I would be more comfortable with more stable altcoins, but I will accept this one.

CloakCoins seem to be dropping heavily on the markets.  I would need a large amount (perhaps 150% of the initial loan amount) and if it drops down to only 120% worth, then I will message you.  If I do not get a response by the time the cloakcoins reach 105%, I will liquidate the collateral.  If you're still interested, PM me. :)

You can always liquidate the collateral immediately and then rebuy when the loan is paid back. ;) Essentially you'd be shorting Cloakcoin.

uh... that's stupid.  I wouldn't be holding onto the collateral very well then, would I? :-/

Say I sold at current market price, 0.001 BTC/CloakCoin.   In 2 weeks' time, it MAY be 0.002 BTC/cloakcoin.  I'd be making a loss.  Plus, a collateral is not to be sold unless the borrower were to default on a loan.

Cloakcoin is fungible, right? Assuming you return the borrower's collateral after the loan is paid back, it really shouldn't matter.

"Say I sold at current market price, 0.001 BTC/CloakCoin.   In 2 weeks' time, it MAY be 0.002 BTC/cloakcoin.  I'd be making a loss."

Yes. That's the risk of shorting a coin. It may also be 0.0005, in which you would make a profit. Of course, that is assuming the borrower will still pay back the loan if his collateral has dropped in value significantly.

I have agreed to lend Darth0ne 1 BTC under the following terms/conditions:

Going with the same terms as haploid:

Then here are the official terms: I will loan you 1.0 btc for a collateral of 2600 Cloak coin. Repayment is 1.17 btc due on August 31 2014 (EST).  Each day late will result in an additional 2% interest, up to 7 days.  After that, any payments will be kept and the collateral shall be liquidated.  I have the right to liquidate the collateral at any time after the repayment date IF the borrower (Darth0ne) does not keep in contact.

  • In the event that 2600 Cloak coin price drops to 130% of btc value (1.3 btc), then I will request back the agreed repayment of 1.18btc for the return of your 2600 cloakcoin. If you cannot pay back the loan yet, then we can discuss other options.
  • In the even[t] that cloak coin drops to 115% value of btc (1.15btc), then I automatically liquidate the collateral to recover my btc.

If you agree to these conditions, then send the 2600 cloak coin to: BuesFmEtSRjst44pvAA54TGkov7WhNfaUp (don't worry, I changed the address, lol).

And give me an address to send the 1 BTC to.
Darth0ne, please confirm here.
