Title: Obvious scam is Obvious: WorldCupCoin
Post by: tz on May 19, 2014, 10:12:16 AM

Good day to you all,

I would like to direct your attention towards this coin:  WorldCupCoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=609837.0)

Here are several reasons why you should be very careful when investing time, hashpower or money into this project:

  • IPO
  • The amount of premined coins is not clearly specified.
  • The topic is self moderated and the owner will delete all negative feedback.
  • A coin for the world cup. Really? Makes you wonder how long its lifespan will be.
  • Uses a trendy setup to attract as many people as possible: X11 PoW/PoS. It's a trap!

Above are 5 reasons why you should steer clear of this coin. The choice is yours. I will, however, be here when the sh!t hits the fan to remind you that "I told you so!".

Cheers!

So we have a SoccerCoin which is as dead as my boss and a WorldCupCoin which is a potential scam.

We still have room for a FootballCoin though. Any takers? :D

What do you mean? Is there any new sports coin?? :)

And what is About WCCoin....

Seems obvious that this coin is not reliable as misinformations are provided.
I am sure there is possibility to check how much they truly premined.

- This coin have the Escrow from my country. I know he very well, and it's absolute a serious guy.

- About the amount I read from the topic :

Quote
Algorithm: X11
Block time: 3 minute
Difficulty retarget: Every minute
Block reward: 100 WCC , 20 each block to charity!
Total amount of coins: 75'000'000 WCC
Total coins during PoW stage: 35'040'000 WCC
Pow ends after one year! But do not worry, easy consumption and long profitability with X11 algo!
First year PoS stake interest 100% . Second year 50%. Third year 10%. From fourth year 5%.

looking legit

- the deleted post was your, right ?  ::)

- Like all another in the last time.

I think you angry for your deleted post. I don't like people that shit another people because don't have power for combact his idea clean.

Hello, i'm sorry to disagree with your statement.

IPO

Why are you accusing us of scam when we've set up an ESCROWED IPO with a trusted user, that for sure has more history than your, so please be careful with your words. I think we're gonna take some report to moderators, because you're diffamating us without any reson or proof.

Quote
The amount of premined coins is not clearly specified.

Yes maybe it wasn't specified in the specs options and i'm gonna add it there asap, but it's stated in the IPO explanation
Quote
First Step IPO - 19 to 26 May: 10% of premined coins (1% of total amount)
the 1% of premined coins.

Quote
The topic is self moderated and the owner will delete all negative feedback.

This is not true. I've deleted two post that were containing offensive words and accusation.
Negative critics hasn't been deleted so far , as you can see reading the thread. :)

Our coin is intended to last at least 4 years, this means until the next WorldCup .

Uses a trendy setup to attract as many people as possible: X11 PoW/PoS. It's a trap!

Just because we're skilled in layout, marketing, devlopment and bring an innovative wallet concept would this be a trap? Please, you need proof to accuse someone. Also in forum life, you know?

With my best regards and the most transparence possible i invite you all to come and visit our thread and judge by yourself about our project.
