Title: [RESOLVED] Can't send bitcoins from my Multibit Wallet.
Post by: clydu91 on May 19, 2014, 12:43:29 PM
Hi people !

I have a Multibit wallet with 0.1511 BTC on it, I want to send it back to another online wallet (on Bitcoin Central) but can't because apparently, I need to have, at least, 1 BTC but I don't want to feed my wallet more so it looks like my BTC are stuck.

UIs there any way I can get send my BTC without having to store more BTC in the wallet ?

Thanks!

There definitely should be no requirement that you have at least 1BTC in order to send BTC from your Multibit wallet. Would you be either able to screenshot the error message your getting or post it word for word? Are you sure you downloaded the official Multibit client and not some virus laden one trying to scam you?

Perhaps the problem is that you are not allowing for the transaction fee. Try sending 0.151 BTC with a 0.0001 fee.

In general these are the steps:
1- Select your wallet on the left.
2- Press the Send tab (next to Request/Transactions).
3- Copy the address of your bitcoin central wallet, and paste it in the address text field.
4- You can skip the label field
5 - Type the amount of BTC, press send. There is a small fee, if sending 1BTC does not work, try 0.95 BTC or 0.99 BTC.

Then you should see your transaction on blockchain.info when you type your bitcoin address. In addition, you should see it in the transaction tab in Multibit.

Thanks a lot guys ! The problem was simple, I had to not put ALL of my wallet in the sending but enough so that my wallet has still enough to pay the fee.

Problem solved.

Thanks again.
