Overall post sentiment seems bullish, but let's take a poll.

Why July 4th? Is there any bitcoin event at that date?

Overall post sentiment seems bullish, but let's take a poll.

I think sentiment is leaning towards bullish all of the time. However currently I'd say it's much less bullish than 6 months ago.

Yeah ok, but what has Independence Day to do with bitcoin? Is Independence Day a classical target date for future predictions?

Whatever it may be - I think bitcoin will stay mostly flat until then.

I do not think the (holi)day has any significance on bitcoin.  It is obvious many will be posting, "What do you guys think the price will be on july 4th etc."
Just like they would ask the same for christmas or new years or something.  I guess we just connect real world holidays (as having some effect on the price)

Which in some cases it might (although the chinese new year did not seem like much - maybe some slow trading since most of the chinese were not trading and were partying)

What happened to all those $5000 by July predictions? Seems like most people are doubtful of even $1000 by July. I think we'll be in the $500s.

I'm sticking with my over $1,200 by July 16th prediction (http://www.geekcipher.com/technology/bitcoin-price-prediction-march-2014-through-july-2014/). $5000 a coin would be great, but unless your local shops start accepting bitcoin (which may happen if bitpay explodes) I won't put my expectations at that level.

$1200 by July 16th seems likely at this rate.

I chose independence day because bitcoin enables financial independence so it seemed fitting.

Certainly feels pretty bullish around here. I'm still concerned that no one seems to want to break that 630 level. Could be due for a correction back down to the low or mid $500s methinks, but I do think the bottom is definitely in this time.

I bet this poll will change to higher average as time goes on.

More than a month to go. I hope that Bitcoin will be in 4 digits by that time. Already we have a lot of good news... needs something very significant, just like the DISH adoption.  ;D
