Title: Altcoins wallet.dat file Post by: IceJelly on May 20, 2014, 02:42:49 AM Hi guys. Still rather new to Cryptocurrencies.
I recently downloaded a few different alt coins, and I was wondering where the wallet data (wallet.dat) for these coins are stored. I want to keep all my data on an external hard drive, so I want to know if these coins installed the data files to another directory. I am on Windows 7. Thanks for the help guys. Title: Re: Altcoins wallet.dat file Post by: Light on May 20, 2014, 04:06:26 AM If they are copying most of the Bitcoin source then they should be found in the AppData/Roaming/'AltcoinName' depending on what the name of the altcoin is. Without changing the source I don't think you can actually change where you wallet.dat is loaded from. You'd have to swap them out accordingly if you wanted to open a different wallet.
