Thailand was the first nation in Asia to explicitly ban Bitcoin altogether. That ban still stands as of now. Something smells fishy about this exchange.

Your information is about 5 months out of date. The latest policy is a boilerplate warning; inline with what other countries have issues; basically saying consumers use bitcoin at their own risk and warning that the value could drop at any time: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/business/Bitcoin-virtual-currency-sparks-BOT-warning-30229523.html The coindesk article is slightly inaccurate because we have already been operating OTC trading since Feburary. But we have now launched a new full exchange website also. I think Thailand should consider the experience of Cyprus on the use of crypto currency

Good for them. Best wishes for the new local exchange. Hope that Thailand will emerge as one of the prime Bitcoin destinations in Asia, even overtaking Singapore. ;D Title: Re: [2014-05-20] Thailand Bitcoin Exchange Reopens with Enhanced Services Post by: The00Dustin on May 21, 2014, 10:21:32 AM News of the exchange being re-opened came out the same day news that martial law was instituted came out? No thanks...
