586$ normally weekend is always boring for BTC trading but this weekend is different price up more then 50 usd in this weekend.

well you never know. There might just be a big jump like there was last year.

If there will be big jump then again expect big fall too and that more dangerous. So its better there will be small jump everytime and consolidate.

Sounds more logical..! the big jump might be followed by a big fall similar to last year and early this year, the rate should go up depending upon the market btc has and how much adoption it gets ,  instead of few whales pumping it up, which was the case last year..!
Even if it stabilizes at 600$ mark for a month or so so be it..!

Despite people cashing out at these highs, the BTC price holds steady and moving forward in fact! I think this is just the beginning of a huge rally. This does not appear to be a pump and dump :)

Something I want too. When it goes up a lot you start wondering if you should sell, and when you don't and it comes down a lot you start wondering why didn't you sell.

Prices increasing regularly, there is big chance of downfall so its time to sell or just keep away from bitcoin.

True that! Dish accepting BTC is a huge win. Now i only hope those BTC haters in India eat humble pie (I know a few of them), especially because they did not even take the time and effort to understand BTC and how it works before shooting it down. But Dish using Bitcoin like other payment processor. Coinbase automatically convert Bitcon into fiat for DISH. So I dont think it will be much effect of this news.

This means that more consumers can pay DISH with Bitcoin. This would be a good reason for a price rise.

Thats what I said Rohan, now BTC trying to consolidate around 630 it is good for BTC future. I really want it will stay around 600 for next 1-2 weeks then will move upwards, without making base its really hard to stay in top.

No it will not. The BTC will be further distributed as it is sold allowing more options for more people to spend BTC.

Imagine Dish introducing a new coin , for buying their subscriptions and on demand movies . They install an asic into their receivers which mines only their coins . More the user watches Dish , more coins they'll mine to pay for on demand movies or to pay their subscriptions .

If ebay ever gets in , you are correct we will see new highs..! but will it ever happen [ebay/paypal accepting btc ]  looking at the video seems like it might one day but we never know same news spread when Jimmy Wales talked about bitcoin and they all were like wikipedia is accepting btc as donation. But btc makes more sense with Ebay compared to wiki .

It is nice to see that the price is stabilizing around 650+. Step by step we are going forward :)

Tomorrow's Monday lets see if we see any movement ..! if it does move upwards then we can say we are moving to 1k at high speed , but if we don't get any pump its fine 650$ seems a good rate at this point of time, stabilized rates are much appreciated than highly volatile , just hoping btc gets stabilizes at 1k$ mark in upcoming times.!

Yup 600$ is making base that is good for future price of Bitcoins.

Bitcoin is below 600 again. Right now it is 583 USD.

That is because the US government is auctioning off its Bitcoins. (methinks)

It may also be because of GHash.IO. They were frequent at 49%. Today, they have reached 51%.

Market is very volatile because of this, touched twice 550 and then jumped to 600 again.

Looks like this jumping will continue for some day till GHash.IO mining power gets reduced.

I too think so but things will get more interesting as soon as auction starts and how market reacts to that.

Seems like we are going down to 500$ mark again , All those news about Auction of seized coins might have created some panic but I found no substance behind it, apart from few transactions from the wallet.

Its not the debate here, but I have a very big concern with the Cartel controlling Bitcoin. Shame how a decentralized movement ended up being owned by a few rich techies.

So This auction is taking place on 27june that is how I read it..! and this will be an online auction , so now looking into bigger picture, lets say if they succeed in selling 29,656.51306529 bitcoins that are on auction what are the chances that those coins will hit the market all at a time, and if they do how much Impact they will have on market..!
According to what I read the bidding will be held for all the 29,656.51306529 bitcoins so all the coins will go to one person or an organization , correct me if I'm wrong.

 Bidding more than the market price will be totally absurd so I'm hoping someone will get BTC at good rate , we never know how the bidders brain functions they might buy it over the market price.
Lets see how much they go for.

Bidding is for US citizens only and buyers have to deposit at least $200,000 to participate in bidding , it just shows the scale at which bidding is going to take place and nobody will buy at prices higher than market price . I am thinking how that will impact  BTC trading when those somewhat cheaper coins enter the market.

I don't think someone will get 30k coins at $200k, although I know its just Initial deposit  but even if someone successfully gets 30k btc below $10000000 it will be called good deal according to current market rate.
 Talking about if these coins enters into market , I'm sure whoever owns those coins after bidding will be wise enough to understand that how they can manipulate market in their favor I'm sure they don't want to sell coins on lower price.

$200k is just to demonstrate the capability and real interest to pay. Usual thing in auctions I guess.

yes , as soon as some movement starts in the market , BTC price gets pushed down again and as silkroad auction is going be one of the biggest , market insiders are pushing it low.

Hanging just below 600$. Its quite a good price, almost 4 times than 1 year back.

Price was down because of auction news, now on monday bid will be open so time again for upward movement.

AFAIK Bitcoin markets are open 24x7. What's special about Monday bid ?

BTC Market is open 24*7 but the market needs fresh funds to rise above ..! although we have seen some good rise on weekends in past.

Only question that should be asked is " where the market settles on this one ..? " I hope we are not sinking below 600$ again , 630$ should be the price till we go up and over 700$ mark. I don't think someone who bids for 30btc and spends a good amount of $$$$ in it will take any stupid decision that creates any down trend .

One man buying off a bid. welcome to the 1% taking over  again.

In my opinion that was a great person who bought those coins. He has been a start up investor in a lot of great companies and products.

It seems like we are sinking below 600$ again , I just hope  that doesn't happen , I was hoping that we'll see the 700$ mark again this month when the auction ended last month although I'm still hopeful for that Just hoping that we don't sink below 600$, otherwise its not gonna be easy.

I think the reverse. Though I'm not hoping for 700, I think market will cross 650 soon, because market manipulators always try to dissuade people with wrong indications to book profit. As it is indicating downward, it'll take a sharp turn and go up and as soon as u start thinking that it'll continue to go up, it'll actually go down. Same happens for share market too...

1% ?

By 1% sub means that most of the wealth in any system is controlled by 1%. Libertarians believed Bitcoin may change this, but as far as every one can understand any financial domain will be dominated, well, 1%. Harsh reality.

But sub, you know what Bitcoin ( in general cryptography ) has changed ? It has given you hope,belief and tools where you, a small start up or  a simple common man can challenge establishments :)

I see a problem if a large bank buys 100,000 BTC and try to control USD/BTC prices with the bullying power.
