Update 3:

7 days ago I got this email:

Hi hazek,

Just thought I'd follow up your last email.  Thanks heaps for your helpful links regarding Bitcoin.  We've researched into using accepting Bitcoin as payment, but it's not feasible or practical to pursue at this point in time.

Thanks again for your interest in the film.

Regards,
Ed.

Oh well. I replied asking why, but haven't heard back since.

UPDATE 2:

I'm talking with the filmmaker:

Hey hazek,

Thanks for your email.  I appreciate you blogging the film on Daily Paul.  Hopefully that will give us a boost.

I hadn't considered Bitcoins as payment, but we'll certainly consider that.  Distrify also offer an affiliate program, where you can sign up with them and share the film on your website or Facebook page, thereby received a commission off all sales derived through that.  Just a thought anyway.

Will definitely look into the Bitcoin opportunity.

Regards,
Ed.

UPDATE: Now available at: http://www.endoftheroadfilm.com/

Unfortunately it's not free and costs $4.99 to rent and stream or $10 to buy and download but from judging by one review it's well worth it!

----------------------------------------------------------
I just saw Peter Schiff post a link on his FB page to this trailer and I thought it's production looked amazing and it really could turn out a major documentary telling people exactly what's going on in the financial world right now.

Interesting. Seems to reflect my thoughts exactly on what's going on with the economy at present.

This is funny.

They talk about how dollar sucks and how we need to get rid of all that s**t... and they take only dollars for the film...

Yes i did. What i wanted to say is they should integrate it on their own... not "thinking about it" after the fact...

You really expect someone to sell their hard work for something they have never heard of before without thinking about it and at he min researching it first? You must be joking.

Chill man. Take it easy.

No one said bitcoin should be exclusive payment.

I bought download version. It's decent, but pretty basic. I guess most forum members would be bored. If you watched The Crash Course or The American Dream or Money As Debt or Zeitgeist, etc... you've seen it all already.

However, it is great for anyone who doesn't know how fiat money system works. Easy to digest, excellent examples, graphs and sketches, condensed and at the same time not too aggressive.

Awesome. If he sets it up for bitcoins I'll definitely buy a copy.

A year ago, maybe, but it's pretty feasible and practical now. I guess they don't really believe in their own message.

i would like to take part in your affiliate program to to sell or Rent END of the road. But I would like to sell this movie for Bitcoin. I would first buy the movie myself, watch it, and then  sell digital copies of this movie for bitcoin, i would keep the 15% for the bitcoin and send you paypalUSD or a wire transfer... whatever currency you prefer.

will you allow this?

They replied

Hi Adam,

The affiliate program is available to all who have viewed the film.  However, Bitcoin is not one of the payment methods.  I'll email Distrify, the film's hosting company and the company who take care of the affiliate program, to see if they've developed a back end to they're system which accepts Bitcoin.  I'll get back to you shortly.

Regards,
Ed.

having Distrify take bitcoin as payment would be cool, but i wouldn't count on it. :-\
