yup mining requires very little internet speed and bandwidth so a dongle would work fine. Just make sure it is stable and there are no frequent disconnects.

Which network provider and data plan you suggest. Any miner using the same?? Any preferred modem type. 2G is most economical I think. Any suggestions??

photon or MTS I would say.
Reliance has frequent disconnects and so avoid it.

You can go for Airtel 3G plan of 15gb. Should be quite sufficient. I would prefer a broadband though.

I am planning to move to ACT Internet. It's dead cheap, optical fiber connection and has a 1:1 download/upload ratio. Ofcourse this may not be available in all cities ATM. But they are expanding fast.

I hear they have tiny problems with uptime quite often and that if there is a problem after 11pm, you can only get a fix after 10 am the next day.
For reliability, I would prefer Airtel Broadband

That's kinda true. They had some outages in the very recent past. Fiber cuts and stuff. However they inform us promptly.

Have to check about the post-11 outage responses. Didn't know about that. If that's true, it's alarming.
