Hello to everyone, BTCJapan (bitcoin.ne.jp (https://bitcoin.ne.jp)) has now been in operation for 3 months. We have had some activity and several miners have been active with us. (In Japan there are already a lot of digital currency systems in the market, but they are only accessible within Japan) Getting the Bitcoin currency transaction system into the main stream is our main objective. Since the difficulty level of solving a Bitcoin transaction block has become so high, it will take approximately 1.5M - 2M shares to solve 1 block and receive the 50BTC reward. At this time we have been averaging mining speeds of around 450Mh/s, so at this speed it would take 6-12 months to solve 1 transaction block. From Feb 1st, 2012 til we achieve 200 active miners AND solve 20 transaction blocks, we have removed all pool fees. This world is only getting smaller :) The beauty of bitcoin is that it is not fiat/not a product of any government. So you're right, to get the most of it we should have bitcoin communities in every country. The more the merrier!
