Title: Bitcoin 1.0
Post by: bitcool on February 02, 2012, 04:28:50 AM
After 0.5, 0.6, 0.7....there can be 0.9, 0.10, 0.11 ...

So what will signify the readiness of bitcoin 1.0? When will the development community decide it's time for 1.0 release? Other than technical, are there any political, social, financial, or legal factors being considered?

After we decide that it's out of beta, feature complete and tested, and we won't have any need to reset the blockchain back to block 0?

There is no deliberate release plan or development strategy. Bitcoin developers don't care about such things or they think it's not important.

They have better things todo.
