Title: Question about Gridseed G-Blade PSU Post by: corbs132 on May 24, 2014, 10:18:09 AM I just bought 2 G-Blades, but didn't realize they didn't come with a power supply. Zoomhash is charging $25 per PSUs, with 2 PSUs per unit. Instead of spending a hundred dollars to power these blades, I decided to look online for a cheaper alternative. I found http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1811261 in a quick google search. With 2 of these PSUs, I could power both for only ~$70. I was trigger happy and bought the parts listed below, thinking I would just make my own cables. I realized after I checked out from amazon that the hardforum post was for the pods, not the blades.
My question: Is the barrel jack the same connector between the pods and blades? Barrel Connectors: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058RLD9C Power Supply: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D7CWSCG Wire: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZX8NX0 Title: Re: Question about Gridseed G-Blade PSU Post by: philipma1957 on May 24, 2014, 01:10:37 PM I just bought 2 G-Blades, but didn't realize they didn't come with a power supply. Title: Re: Question about Gridseed G-Blade PSU Post by: gsr18 on May 24, 2014, 04:24:01 PM If you aren't going the ATX psu route then you can buy the brick psu's on amazon with the same amps and voltages and the barrel size for cheap. Last time I checked they were around $7 each. This is the cheaper route for the bricks.
Title: Re: Question about Gridseed G-Blade PSU Post by: corbs132 on May 24, 2014, 04:38:47 PM I wouldn't mind going the atx route, I have a bunch of spare atx power supplies. I'm going to PM cablez for a quote.
