As per the official announcements, the exact procedure has yet to be defined.
When ready, it will be published on Mt.Gox's website (and presumably mailed to all customers).

No Idea, but it would seem they are being vague about the process as to not have many people claim against them.

Quote
To participate in the bankruptcy proceedings and to receive the bankruptcy distribution, after separately filing proofs of your claim as provided in the Bankruptcy Act of Japan, investigation thereof is necessary. It is possible that, on investigation of your claims as provided in the Bankruptcy Act of Japan, your claim may not be approved. The bankruptcy trustee owes no legal liability to anyone due to the transmission of this document.

How does one file "proofs of your claim as provided in the Bankruptcy Act of Japan"?

(1) Go to The Land of The Rising Sun.

(2) Get an overpriced hotel room for a few weeks.

(4) Start kncoking on the doors of whatever they have there that passes for attorneys and hope for the best.

(5) Drink a lot.

More likely they're being vague because they haven't decided how they'll do it yet. They won't want to make a statement then change their minds and contradict themselves, and their options will vary wildly depending how reliable they conclude the Gox database is, which will presumably take some time to investigate.

Great idea wont help much

Right, unless you have crazy huge sums in Gox just wait for an announcement from the trustee. It may not happen very fast, but no other method is going to make anything happen any faster.
